Who heard Mickey say "airplane"?
What kind of Bondo did u use?
Do you know how to fix front bumper holes that it actual goes in
I’ve had to do this almost 5 times in 2 Years. Never drive a car with a low splitter in Texas
can I use epoxy on fibre front lip?
Two minutes of useful info…and more that two minutes of babble….
Who else broke their carbon lip…
Nice video man! Anyone know what bondo to use?
Y
What's that glue called
My splitter hasn't cracked… It has rubbed away at the front from pulling in and out of parking lots… How can i fix that?
Oh damn are BLue a ready 3 years times fly
Go to 5:55
question.. what kind of adhesive did you use on the lip to attach back on the bumper?
hey what kind of bondo did u use?
Nicely done, thanks for sharing!
Dude. This is gold for me. I’ve got the same lip on my E36 and it is smashed in the same spot almost identical damage. Thanks for the DIY!
Do a Diy Paint process on the same lip would be a cool video next. Primer, sand, paint, then gloss process.
I would have gone with zipties and drift stitch, hehehe.
Evan what color code is your e36?
This will hold decent but not a professional repair..if you have the access to a plastic welder w/mesh backing or plastic staples (for broken bumper tabs) and a 2 part plastic repair with adhesion promoter. Use the 2 part because it'll flex with the part, filler will not flex and crack/break off. Prime block and paint! It'll hold great.
*yes there's more than 1 way but in my experience (professional autobody tech) this is the best way
I had this happen on my old M3 and I zip ties it together! This is actually a better method! Great video guys!
I learn so much from you!
As always, Mickey saves the day. You guys either need to pay him or give him a raise. Maybe some Cinnamon Rolls from PB. Everyone loves those.
I have the same radio head unit in my e36 haha
Should of used son kind of reinforcement screening in the back of the lip. There really isn't any reinforcement support. The same thing may happen again.
If the plastic can melt you can pretty much weld the back with other plastic and heat. Thats how u fix punctures in plastic bumpers
Any tips on repairing a carbon fiber front lip? Mine is scraped and not cracked so not sure if repair would still be applicable here. Also I'm not sure how much it is scraped, but I believe it is just a chunk of the clear coat.
You can also use Lego to repair plastic. I have done it on my motorcycle fairings.
Hey Evan, awesome and informative video as always! Also, what paint did Mickey use? I like the semi gloss finish on it!
yo great video. but damn, get some better lighting please!
thank you for the video! i have very little experience but i think using that scoring technique with a hot knife may actually be more effective, just make sure you don't go all the way through, but this way you actually have some melted abs stick together to help support the epoxy!
I need a micky in my life to help me with my car.
First 👊 fan from mauritius guys ❤
