I get asked about how to handle situations like this from time to time and it was great to have the opportunity to make this video about how I handle this situation. Like most techniques it takes a little practice but I think you get the idea from the video and I hope the info saves your butt someday, it’s saved mine plenty.

Thank you so much for posting this video. Removing the floor panel over the transmission of my 1949 Chevy truck was kicking my a$$ due to 10 screws rusted solidly in place. The sharp center punch in the hammer drill did not work for me. However, using that same center punch and a few sharp blows with a hammer, more solvent, and then twisting the screw a little each way allowed the solvent to loosen them up and they all came out. After a few screws I had to resharpen the punch to make it work again. Thanks again.
thanks!!
I’ve been doing this for hours
It’s not working
What’s annoying why???
So frustrated
Finally now i can make my beyblade stadium using my old sattelite
It was very effective
That’s great, but what about a threaded screw?
Sweet!
Thanks! I managed to take out the rusted screws out of a Playstation 2 controller.
Great â˜ÂÂï¸ÂÂ
I didn't have the customized hammer but I used a screw to hammer around the edges of my tubdrain screws. 35 year old, corroded screw finally came loose. Much appreciated ðŸ™ÂÂðŸÂ¿
Good tip. Also spraying the screw HEAD and letting the oil penetrate beneath it helps more than oiling the threads.
Thanks a lot
What can I do if the screw is recessed into what it’s screwed into by half an inch or so
Wowwww. Useful video 🤩ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂðŸ‘ÂÂ
I found this amazing electric screwdriver on a website called GenScrew. https://genscrew.com/kit
Would wd40 work too?
I may be a kid but I actually used this thx for the help 😀
Hi I tried to replace my rear light of my car and the screw is turning but it doesn’t come out, what can i do?
My mechanic kid refused to unscrew my seized right front brake line for fear hed break it! Still charged me. I received a call from his NAPA CANADA BOSS! I told the truth and they buried my complaint. I'd be fucked as well because my brakes are not 100%. What does anyone out there think about that?
Thanks. Worked like a charm.
You idiot this takes less than. Minute
You just want to be on you tube
Thanks bro,oit helped me !
Great method Eric. Heres a challenge. Now get that rusty screw/screws out of your fishing reel so you can oil it.
Awesome and thankyou very much from down under. So helpful
My map sensor Es stuck with a seized screw… can I try this or is there another way I can take out the map sensor screw that is stuck…
Very helpful thanx
Thanks you sooo much it’s very helpful 🎉
Dude genius thanks
Awesome points! Thank you!!
What oil can be used loosing? Food oil can?
Good bless you brother
Thanks. Nona, USA ….I will use this idea to remove my dryer door.
Hope this will work for the burner bolts on the gas stove. Sockets aren't turning the bolts
I find that pouring "Plusgas" over the jammed screw and let soak usually works ! WD40 is a waste of time and money.
Nice idea if you've got enough room
This screw was HARDENED but the technique worked GREAT with a standard screwdriver and hammer. Thanks!!! REALLY needed to resolve this! ðŸ‘ÂÂ
Omg its worked so well. I used short screwdriver and plastic hammer help to open frozen screw from my hand planer. Thank u a lot! I tried many way but not work till i saw ur way!!
Hey Eric what if you have a Ford Escape with an plastic upper manifold and it has that little brass piece that the screw goes into the hold it down what if you were to break the bolt how would you get that boat out of the brass part of the lower which is also like a plastic material
There's a rusted screw on my dryer and I hope this works
