This is not a difficult operation but you’ll need to remove the front bumper and possibly the front headlights before you remove a front fender from a Honda. Here’s some videos to guide you through that.

To prevent damage to the rockers, consider asking someone for help in lifting the vehicle to get access if it’s blocked like it was on this vehicle.

If you’re not familiar with Pull-A-Part, they’re a self service salvage company in the US. They have 25 yards in 12 states. I’m not just saying this, but they’ve become my favorite place to go for salvage parts. I suggest you check them out.

  1. This is amazing Eric! Love your videos.. A friend has a 1999 Honda Shuttle/Odyssey and i'm wondering is the process similar do you think?

    Thanks

  2. Only catch at pullapart is if you see a part on a car you want take it then and there cause,I've been there taking a part off and figured I'd come back tommorrow to get that othere part then you gou back and!!÷÷××€!!! Then the whole car is gone .then you ask about it and we sent it to the scraper.twice this has happened to me so if I would have to scrap a part to take off one I need there ain't no asking for help there.they don't scratch your back so why scratch there's.you did it the best way Eric.

  3. My 03 odyssey left side body panels are all horribly rusted through because it was in an accident 10 years ago with a dear and the body shop did a bad paint job. My front left fender has the most rust (keep in mind the whole right side is clean and rust free original paint), so I was considering pulling one from a brown Odyssey in the scrap yard to replace the piece. The car itself is my college cruiser and has always been well kept. Runs smooth and shifts nicely, hence why I'm looking to fix it up a bit.

  4. why does everyone have to complain so much? if you actually listen to his update videos you would know he is only posting these to buy some time to edit Fairmont videos

  5. hey. off-topic. but could you possibly explain to me what the real benefits are of lubing or greasing a ratchet? all i hear people say is that "it makes it work better" and "it quiets it down" but i enjoy the sound of a ratchet. what is the real ethical benefit in lubing a ratchet?

  6. Eric, as far as I'm concerned, you can make any type of video you want without losing any credibility to me. I think only people who have tried to make videos can fully appreciate the work you put into these over the years. People want to see you on cardboard forever, not me. Change is inevitable, please do what you feel is right for you.

  7. you should show to rip the transmission out. my friend can get his out, teplace the clutch and put it back in, in about an hour or less.

  8. This is impossible to do on a 88 camaro…….beceause there is none in the local junk yards!!! OK don't need a fender, but a lot of little interior pieces that are long gone by the time I find one.

  9. Eric, why have you joined the group of people who suddenly call everything a "hack"? We used to have advice, tips, instructions, etc….but no more. Now everything is a "hack" because they think it sounds cooler.

  10. A lot of negativity here. Yes, we all want Fairmont. But if I'm not mistaken, Eric's dream has been to have his own car show. Let's have some patience and let these vids help those who may need them. This is a business, after all.

  11. I am confused as F%$&K… There was a video how not to damage the car to remove parts… but
here we are shown how to cut the rocker cover… but wait there is a way!! How to
remove the part and not cut the rocker cover…REALY?!?!?!Can we have a video how to remove the engine in the yard… Please!

  12. I understand that you gotta do what you gotta do to pay the bills and these are quite helpful videos for most people. It just sucks that we finally got to tear into the fairmont for real just to get a big cliffhanger and nothing about the fairmont for two weeks in a row now. :c

  13. Hey Eric! I just uploaded a video about an old Mercedes-Benz from the 1970s on my channel. It's a total rust bucket and the video is more "just for fun" than anything else. Maybe if you find the time you could take a quick look at it and say hello in the comments, I know that my viewers would love it to see you here!

  14. Oh Eric, i really hope you're just building the anticipation while you cook up the real soup. These junkyard videos are cool n all, but you've already spoiled us with the Fairmont sneaks. Editing must be tedious.
