for someone who been in around the Car Industry for 50 years here's my defination for cars. Classic- any car 25 years or older. Antique- any car 50 years or older. Barn Find- A car that is atleast 25 years that was stored in a barn, Shed, Garage, Shop or Pole Barn. Every area of the country call types of buildings differnt things, I grew up on a 1500 acre family farm in Missouri and my grandpa called every building on the farm that weren't houses a barn, the Shop was the "Maintenance Barn", what exactly do you consider a barn? By Merriam-Webster the defination a "Barn" is an industrial building, usually on a farm, that houses livestock and/or equipment, is a car/truck not equipment? Survivor- a car atleast 25 years that has it's original drive train or an original NOS part that originally came on that year, make and model and MUST still run, be driven and currently registered and tagged, IF it's not running, it's not a survivor because it's dead, the original equipment has already stopped working, I.E. it didn't SURVIVE…..
What is the crackle spray you used? I’m doing the same on a 2nd gen TransAm hood
Love the Mustang, but the patina paint ruins it for me.
Love the Mustang, but the patina paint ruins it for me.
Just came to tell tommy he can go to hell with that bullshit patina
spray bomb?? im outa here see ya in the funny papers
dont quit your day jobs…painting is not for you it looks like crap…
Great episode!!
9:32 I've worked with a few people who are just completely clueless to how the metric tire numbers work. even argue about it till they are blue in the face even when showed the facts…
My cars a pasture find
When applying a vinal decal i remove half the decal from the tack paper then lay it back down and do the same with the other half so when you stick it and peel it the peeling of the tack paper is easier
That red Dodge is interesting it has no shifter
This mustang is by far in my opinion their best project
"Survivor" had a massive detail overlooked. The Story.
Each car has a story. You need to be able to hear/ tell the story. It doesn't matter if something fell off, or got damaged, wore out. As long as the original owner or someone close to them who heard the story/ rode in it regularly can tell you, it doesn't matter what condition it's in, so long as they didn't deliberately modify it outside of factory spec for no reason.
My ex girlfriends car is a survivor
Funky pain design…60s vibe
Looks like a 70's pimp van
These guys are bone heads if they would rather have a 383 in that Challenger than a 340 .
6:33 Why not use a paint that is compatible? How bad is it going to look later?
That cobra hood looks sick
not every tire… any made prior to 2000 I think does not have date code
The look on his face when asked, “does it make the car worth more being a “barn find”, is priceless and spot on.
Your car in a “barn” with rat and owl shit isn’t worth more lol 😂
No offense; but where these two see patina, I just see rust. Time for some sand blasting!
Survivor car is a car that’s been driven or a daily everyday car sins it was new and has survived the shitty drivers that surrounds us..
I can't wait for the patina fad to disappear!
DWS tires for a Canadian winter… LOL ! your better off with 4 hockey pucks EH! !
Hats off to the company that came out with a Oil Rust Stain free floor coating..must be the same ones that sell French nail manicures to mechaincs
Dumm, and Dummer
i think an even cooler affect for the cobra would be a bloody chevelle hanging out its mouth
Up here in Canada, DWS (All Season) tires are no good in the winter. Most provinces have a provincial law for using dedicated winter tires. Honestly, if it gets below 7`C where you live, you need the winter compound for safety.
One of the Mopars is a nice old car the other car is just a damned old car…..to hell with definitions.
