New 2024 Episode – Music City Trucks dives under the hood of a well used Ford 150 to tackle some much-needed repairs and upgrades to the clutch, brakes, and steering.
We begin our fix-it session with a closer look at the clutch system. The guys examine the old, worn-out components filled with dust and corrosion and compare them to brand-new, re-engineered parts. Next up, we dig into the brakes. Despite the old truck passing initial test drives, hidden corrosion and damage are revealed upon closer inspection. Located in a rust belt state, the use of salt has taken a toll on the brake system. Finally, Eric addresses the play in the steering. They discover cracked and splitting boots on the tie rod ends, which could allow moisture and rust to compromise the system.
