As long as we are on the subject of exhaust I figured why not solve the rattle I’ve had in the Subaru exhaust since I got the car. This is a simple affordable method that has never let me down, remember if you need to do a large shield you can always string together more hose clamps.

I have a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an internal rattle in the muffler. I was looking to replace it. Do you think Th could adapt this fix to use on a muffler?
Thank you, sir. This was easy enough to do .
I wish there was a recording of the sound so I can see if it's the sound I hear from my car.
Yes
What if you have a rock stuck inside your exhaust system?
What if the rattling comes in at higher rpms only and not while idling?
This guys funny I like him already subscribing 😂
I use a rubber mallet to check for rattles. Makes the sound travel naturally so u can pinpoint them all. Just donf smack it so hard 🤣
THANK YOU SO MUCH MY HARDBODY IS DRIVING ME CRAZY
Followed this and it fixed the issue! Thank you
Hv a 99Firebird what size Bolt it need , their is 2missing
He called out Honda's, which is exactly what I have. Someone wanted to charge me $300 to fix the rattling under my Civic. I'm so glad I didn't fall for it once I saw this video.
Very helpful brother thanks
I finally was able to figure out what is wrong with my car. Over two years with this noise
Thanks. I hope it is the same problem with my car, and not the resonator (that was changed a year and a half ago). I get a similar sound around 2.000 rpm and around 3.000 rpm.
Thanks for the video
God bless bro
Why doesn’t anyone record the actual sound
My car's making the same noise. Thanks for the tips on how to resolve.
Thanks man. New Chevy Truck, only 4mo old, started rattling after driving through a ice/snow storm here in Texas. Your video saved my night. Appreciated!
slip a piece of aluminum or steel shim under the clamp..
will try this 1st. Had some work done to my 18 ram 2500, started rattling shortly after, driving me crazy
Noice im looking for happens more when i accelerate
Quick question Eric.. Is there any possibility of this hose clamp begin getting loose because of the heat from the exhaust? Thanks in advance.
Thank you! I have the annoying exhaust rattle! 🚘
I see he clamped it directly to the exhaust pipe. Is there a max temperature those clamps can tolerate?
I subscribed 5 seconds into the video "lug lug lug 🤙ðŸÂ¼" in slow-mo, that was comedy! 🤣🤣
thanks for your video bro very helpful
Thank you for Saving my 200 aed
Greetings for you from Iraq
Geez, your pretty good Eric! That hose clamp one – why didn't I ever think of that!
Thank you, awesome repair
Great, thanks!
Great video dude! short and simple but uh, whats the tool you used to tighten the hose clamp??
I really, really appreciate how Eric educates us all with such useful guidance and techniques – for free.
2020 and this is still relevant!! Thank you, seem like my Lexus is having this same issue fingers crossed
Thanks a million! I'll try to fix it in my car.
Why do people say HONDA's last long when after 135000 miles they fall apart and yes I am Honda owner all the way not only interior is crap the exterior is even worse and don't get me started on Transmissions every Honda I've owned had had transmission problem
I don’t know how many times you help me to figure where and how resolve issues, thanks again
Can this happen when lugging at low speed?
Add some Loctite on that noise! Lol
Thanks Eric the Car Guy! I HOPE this is the issue with my 2010 Odyssey, rather than the timing belt tensioner! BTW—hard not to laugh……or turn my monitor or my head sideways watching this! 😀
