If you own a 1991-1995 Acura Legend or 1996-2004 Acura RL, you likely have a broken transmission mount and this video will help you find and repair it.
For me, the hardest part is getting the exhaust unbolted. Once that’s done, it’s really an easy parts replacement from there.

Polyurethaned mount ahead of time and you'll never ever have a broken mount again. That is if you enjoy the same procedure over and over..
Very helpfull need to talk to u possible.?
Erick the real legend in honda’s .
Problem with my rl, once it warms up it shifts from Park to reverse fine. Before I fully warms up, it does clunk, pretty bad. Would it be safe to say it is just the trans mount and nothing else?
My 91 legend might have this very same problem, and I just got it out of the garage 2 days ago after replacing both head gaskets on it , oh well.
Eric I just want to thank you. I bought 2002 Acura rl 4 years ago with 229000. Watching your videos you help me change the rack, tie rods inner and outer ball joints, knuckles axle struts rear and front fuel pump, rotors brakes calipers, brake brackets, and I think that’s it but thank you again
Thanks Eric 👠will be doing this on 02 Acura RL for wife.
Eric, please tell me why you put oil on the bolt threads but not anti seize or thread lock?
I have this problem on my 93' legend, thanks from France for this video 😉 I will buy new transmission mount and replace it 😉
So if you have this problem…flop….lmao.
actually own an acura legend ..my 4th one
So trying to find the "part number? for my 91 Legend…it this part known also as a "weight" or "stopper"? On the diagram they aim at the exact part, so I don't know which one to order :/ (No. 3 & 5 on the diagram https://www.acuraoemparts.com/auto-parts/1991/acura/legend-coupe/l-moquette-trim/4-speed-automatic-engine/body-air-conditioning-cat/engine-mount-91-92-scat) Any help would be great, thanks!
Canola oil
How many 02 sensors on a 2002 RL
so my question is first great video btw, mine is a 94 acura legend 3.2 The removal will be same way right like you said maybe just a different pattern of bolts but in the same location ?
Hi, with worn transmission mount, will it cause a loud thumping sound when you turn left or right from a intersection etc on acceleration? My 2006 Ford Territory/Explorer has started doing that thumping sound & you can feel through the drivers & front passenger seats & the centre console area.
Got a acura cl thanks bro that is what my is doing
Would this video help me with my 1997 Acura TL ?
Is this procedure / parts the same for auto and manual transmissions?
Would this apply to a 2003 acura tl type s?
The transmission mount hadn't improved one bit on the Acura RSX
Great video! I started watching your videos hoping to find something on replacing the RL O2 sensor (P0132 code) and found this. Now, I'll be replacing my O2 sensor and transmission mount. I've had issues with shifting in reverse for a while, but my mechanic didn't have a solution. Now, I can kill both those birds with one stone. Thanks!
I have a grinding sound when taking turns also
fuck this looks like a bitch. here goes 500$…
where did you buy your transmission if you don't mind me asking
ETCG, Great Video! Thank you.  I am getting a clunk when I go into reverse, I guess time to do this shortly.  I have a 2002 RLAwesome Car, I love it, please keep the RL Videos going, I need one on the timing belt for this model. Thanks again for having some of the best Video's on you tube.
Great video! Def Watch out for the exhaust bracket bolting mount back on – cross threaded. More vids on the RL please!
I advise you to revise the title. This is completely useless for me because my exhaust on my 00' looks nothing like this. Theres no bolts after the cat, its welded straight on.
I was being cheap..filled the old one with polyurethane it works great.
That dewalt impact seams weak
Hi there from Germany Eric! Gotta say I really like your videos a lot. Very simple methods, great explanation. But what I don't like is the fact that Americans tend to not care about torgue values that much, do they? 🙂
Hey Eric what's the purpose of the springs on the bolts never bothered to ask till now
Shouldn't there be loctite on those fasteners since they are dissimilar metals that expand and contract at different rates?
"If you throw it on the ground just right, it makes a really loud noise."
Any video where Eric throws something is my favorite because that's how I work too.
Hey Eric, don't you usually use silicone spray for rubber parts like those exhaust hangars? Just wondering if penetrating oil will eat away at the rubber.
"My used nut pile" I don't even want to know Eric.
what happened to the channel blown heads?????
