  1. If I am going to sewing your so called " French Seam ", I will certainly back the two stitches with a TWELL tape on the wrong side to reinforce. This twill tape will strengthen the joint stitch between the two piece of vinyl material thus reduce the pressure / tension of the joint stitch. One more thing, the genuine " French Seam " is to roll or fold over the material at least one time when stitching ! !
