No Ntk is what comes on acura on mine at least mdx
You provide the best detailed information on how to remove/install. The tips you provide are valuable such as removing the retainer/clips to avoid breaking them. Thanks
On that car NGK is original Air fuel ratio sensors
Hello, I feel like my 08 TL is using a lot of gas. I am getting around 15city and 22highway. I did all my maintenance; spark plugs, oil changes, air filter. I am not getting a check engine code and I don’t think the previous owner has changed the oxygen sensors Do you think changing would help my MPG?
Hey, fat chance youll reply to this but what code number was the tl throwing when you did this replacing the sensors?
Personally, I used the same socket for installation and removal with the same sensor without any damage.
what you need is just a small tick to loose the sensor then by hand till you take it out.
Eric. THANK YOU for your service. We love you man!
Just when you think ETCG can't get any better… he does. It's not just for the educational side of things; every video is a joy to watch for many reasons.
Love your vids man, my stepdad has a 2004 Acura TL he actually just got the code P2628 but we don’t understand what it means (something about too much voltage or a circuit, pretty vague) if you know anything about this code that would be super helpful ☺ï¸ÂÂ
Great video Eric thanks a lot for helping. Keep them coming ðŸ‘ÂÂ
Hey man.. How are u doing today?
I have a problem with my car HONDA STREAM and you help me? I was riding and my car was overheated and it is making some strange noise in the engine… I don't know what happened but I need some help from u guys.. Please help me out…
Check ya trims son!
What is the purpose of the plastic engine covers?
Excellent video work! You go the extra mile to produce good content.
Is there a downstream o2 sensor
NTK is the O.E equipment not denso just in case anyone becomes misdirected. NTK 02sensoes are also less expensive at generic parts stores than their denso counterparts
Note that O2 sensors monitor the end of the engine combustion cycle and and can be affected by upstream issues and so it can be useful to test them when removed for the car. Just check the heater wires (usually same coloured) for continuity and modest resistance (generally less than 30ohms) and the put a voltmeter (set to low voltage) across the other two wires. Holding with long reach pliers, as a way of not burning your fingers, put the tip of the O2 sensor in and out of propane/butane flame. The flame is void of O2 and provides heat. When in the flame a working O2 sensor voltage should rise to about 0.9 volts and out of the flame will drop below 0.1volts. If the sensor is caked in carbon to the extent that it inhibits O2 sensing (the voltage always stays low) then as a last resort you can heat the tip to red hot to burn off the residue. Often this will restore full function but it will be necessary to work out why your exhaust is so soot laden. A rich running engine can be due to: something as simply as low coolant so the sensor prevents the engine from entering closed loop operation; or over estimation of the amount of O2 entering the engine by a bad MAF; or excess of fuel delivery due to a bad/leaking fuel pressure regulator.
Thank you for the great videos Eric. Can you please do some Honda Ridgeline Videos?  All the best…
Cool man. I had difficulty removing the sensor clips.. And didnt know about the heat shield.
Got to love all the plastic they put in new really expensive cars and trucks now a days! Metal just cost too much money so why not go cheap and charge you up the ass when they break! If they could they would make a car, or truck out of all plastic. It will cost even more! LOL!!!
why do they call it an o2 or oxygen sensor when co2 is the problem
Just dropping a comment for the algorithm. Changed the O2 sensor on my 2007 Acura TL-S and this was a huge help.
Love seeing one use an anti seize as it is supposed to be, not on a spark plug. It's shocking on how many other youtubers say to use anti seize on plugs when the plug manufacturers say to not use it lol.
I think you should always mention the radio code when disconnecting the battery on a Honda vehicle.
Eric or anyone !!?? Today in the morning my check engine came on Fuuuuuuu code P0430 sensor or catalytic 2nd bank need help anyone or Eric I could not do it on your page
Thanks man! Keep em coming!
good work bro, love this car
Primary o2 sensors on J series are not the same OE part number through Honda.
Any videos on the Integra coming up?
beautiful replacement info ! New frend Ruthie
The only hard thing about O2 sensors is paying for them, they're always expensive. I always use Denso, good quality.
Ummm Eric…. the title of the video says "oxygen sensor removal"… and the one's you are changing is actually an Air/Fuel ratio sensor… 5 wire plug… the oxygen sensor is actually after the cats below.. both bank one & two!
You can use the sensor socket to take off a sensor that you want to reinstall (inspection, cleanup) by just using a hose clip over the socket. Doesn't even need to be any tighter than a push fit. Never broke a split socket with this method, and you can actually buy split sockets with purpose made sleeves (amazing for use with bleeding nipples on brakes).
Considering that those engine covers are there solely to keep people with severe inabilities to function in the premises of an engine from dying or getting injured and then lawyering up, i'd get rid of them. They do no favours to the engine bay. None whatsoever. Air circulation is a key factor in the life of an engine and unless they dumped twice the value of the engine in engineering those to keep things cool and kosher, i doubt they do it.
Hey Eric, i just put in monroe quikstruts into my car and after the job was done, the traction light starting blinking and the abs light came on. What should I do ?

EricTheCarGuy please text me I have a really bad vacuume leak and can’t find it
Wow look at that beard intense
Love these videos! My 07 has 298952 miles and still runs great. Should be good for another 100k or so.
