It’s a skill that seems to be dying off: knowing how to drive a stick. But Honda is taking it upon itself to teach the next generation.

As more cars became automatic, fewer new drivers needed to learn how to drive manual. But Honda recently held an event called “Shifting Gears” where it showed off its line of manual transmission cars in California’s San Gabriel mountains. There were 16 cars and people were able to hop in and learn how to drive in closed lots or up in the mountains if they were more experienced. People had several cars to choose from including the Civic Type R or the S2000 CR. Honda is one of the last manufacturers that’s still committed to keeping manual transmissions alive…what are your thoughts?
