Even since I was first introduced to Grey Pneumatic tools, I’ve been wanting to try a socket set. Although I haven’t had a chance to use these much yet, I already like them a lot. This particular set is nice because they’re thin walled impact sockets. This is nice when you’re in a tight spot. The wobble extensions also work well for getting into tight, awkward areas. Sure universal joints work, but the wobble extension is better at transferring force. In summary, I’m very happy with my new Grey Pneumatic socket set. You’ll be seeing it a lot more in future videos. Now I just need to find a new spot for them in the tool box. That, and relocating the ‘little friend’ that seems to have taken up residence in my engine compartment. Wish me luck.

Hello Sr. I'm not a mechanic by any means but I can afford to buy a decent tool box like Extreme Tools 41″ 6-Drawer Deluxe Tool Cart or Extreme Tools 72″ x 30″ Deep, 19 Drawers Triple Bank Roller Cabinet. I just work on my own cars and I have a lot of tools. What do you recommend for just a home guy of those 2 options???????
did they change the design to the extensions to normal and not the wobble feature. cuz i just got some sets and dont have that feature
Any updates on durability?
where are people finding authorized dealers?
I bought this set about the same time that you did. Today, I wound up having a failure occur. I wound up getting three thin splits on my 21 mm deep socket. At the time, I was using my 3/8†Milwaukee little impact, when it happened. Have you had any issues ? Time to see how well their replacement policy is….
I love grey pneumatic!!
Wright Tool offers made in the USA impact sockets that are priced very close to the Taiwan imports. When I can I’m buying American every time.
I’m sold
I got the long and deep sae/metric kit of duo's. Love em. Put me back about 250. Cheap compared to the trucks. I quit using chrome due to the possibility of blood poisoning. Stahlwille quit coming to my shop so GP is my go to. So big thumbs up to your review. And thanks for the times you have givin me direction in my profession.
Nice video. Great price point.
Made of crv or chromoly
Hi Erick. How you doing Sr?
Good videos Sr, lot of information about it but I have a question.
I'm a DYI weekender warrior and I drive a semi truck. Now should I buy Grey Pneumatic 1/2" Drive 6-Point Standard and deep Length Metric Duo-Socket Set, to have the best of both worlds or just Grey Pneumatic 1/2" Driver Metric Standard and Deep length??????
How do you still like the set good or bad
Please do more tool reviews.
Could I buy these tools at a store?
Ave could learn ya how to open a box….
I see it has been a few years now since you bought this set. Do you still use it and how well does it hold up?
Great review !
Question – i seen Astro Pneumatic ? Chicago Pneumatic ?
are they the same as Grey Pneumatic ?
Wicked nice.
I'm on gp website right now and they say that's a 24 tooth ratchet ?? What's up with that? 24 tooth??
GP has the worst warranty that you can get with any toolset…
Working in the aircraft industry we are allowed to use chrome tools. We aren't however allowed to use impact guns!
May you do an update on these current so you have used them and your thoughts
Perfect. Shows what a wobble can and cannot do. Those things are a godsend. Should use wobble extensions so extensively you consider them consumables.
Cool
What metal are they made out of?
Thanks Eric the car guy for the review. I went ahead & got the 81 piece 3/8 impact socket sets. I simply love them. Bang for your buck. No longer having to be damn by a missing/skipped socket set. Down side, you only get 1 3 inch extention & no handle in the carrying case (very weird ðŸ¤â€Â) I like they have laser edge and their also stamped, the case also has the stamp. You get all SAE & MAE deep impact, short, regular & swivel sockets.
overpriced sunex …….
