This wild ride transforms a classic 1972 Camaro into a modern road course beast. Built for our friends EBC Brakes, it is brimming with cutting-edge performance upgrades and sleek aesthetics.
Under the hood, our Camaro boasts a custom Small Block Chevy built by Engine Power that pumps out over 700 horsepower in a naturally aspirated package.
What better way to achieve weight reduction and improved aerodynamics than with carbon fiber? We’ve swapped out the stock steel panels and trunk lid for custom-made carbon fiber ones.
Performance at the track? With better weight distribution and a significant drop in overall heft, our Camaro is primed for sharper turns and faster lap times. Not to mention, it looks absolutely killer with those slick carbon fiber touches highlighting its classic lines.

Looks like something from NFS ProStreet
They should have just built a rail buggy.
Leaf springs? really?
With all the money you’re spending, you could’ve easily made a tube chassis car(and been faster) AND saved a rare classic to drive on the street. Congrats on destroying that car.
Great video and build, really enjoyed it. These two guys really do have a solid skill set to build this thing, hats off.
It pisses me off that they got the year model wrong and they chopped up a really good car. The car is a 1971-1/2 Chevy Camaro RS
You guys rock, Jeremy, Jimmy. Wow, wow, wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would you keep those aweful leaf springs? It is 2024 after all.
Very heavy car for scca type racing or road course racing
Unless I missed it somewhere you really didn't show how you finish the carbon fiber around the edges of the door or other panels? Did you wrap more graphite or just fill it in with mud?
Worst build ever… Where's the coffee cup holder?
Time Stamps Powernation, need those for your videos, please.
So why not use polyurethane bushings instead of those shitty summit racing plastic ones. Also why would you do that to a survivor car.
Far to many things to comment on.
Its an advertisement.
Guess , i fast forward over the dyno results, the track acceleration, apex cornering, RPM ability.
All the best with the sponsers,
and vendor relations.
These guys clearly don’t know what a rally sport front end is…. Rally sport=bumperettes with an extended nose and different parking lights. It’s not a hard concept. 🤦🏻♂️
Why did the 2nd driver use the clutch just to slow down? He didn't shift or need to shift he used it just to hit the brakes….
thats a tiny iddy bitty fuel tank considering thje exhaust exits before the rear wheels… y'all need a good sized drop tank for it…,
That exhaust is going to be too loud for most tracks.
these two carcass guys remind me of the Goonzquad twins but way WAY more articulate😅
Эх, корректный бы перевод на русский язык было бы не плохо
So it’s another throw the sponsor checkbook at it build.
I’m no purist either but come on.
Stock is slow? Hmm. It took decades for gm to build a snowflake engine like the LS for this that can’t adjust valves.
But anyway.
I mean a 72 rally sport with clean floors? 72 and 73 and the lowest production numbers of any year because of the strike then add in it’s an RS.
Then you made a full tube frame car out of it. And it looks kind of hot wheels, it’s not as slick as regular protouring or autocross cars. It’s looks swollen.
I like performance but this is a dated build, it will phase out as far as desire or monetary value, but a clean RS would hold value a lot better.
And after all that still a stock subframe? Really?
The floor is plate sheet metal, it’s not designed well. The handling could have been accomplished with no flares and better suspension upgrades.
And they do this a lot in this program.
The obs gm truck with cantilever suspension was no not effective than good spring shocks and sway bars on a leaf spring setup.
It’s like all the other $100k builds that you could not sell at barret for $50k
All mine are 74 Models. It does not take this much modification to make a car handle like a 70’s scca car. History has proved that. All that fabrication, to get handling of a 2007 Z06 corvette. Without the creature comforts. Yeah nice job, not.
Build your own.
I’m gonna stuff a wide enough tire setup inside the stock fenders and wheel wells, good springs and sway bars is all you need. It will be a lot cheaper for sure, and if you can’t make a gen 1 small block rev to 7500 with a hydraulic flat tappet cam or hydraulic roller, go talk to some circle track races they will tell you how to do it. Maybe those who can’t should stick to the LS. LT and direct injection is the way big names and builders are going now anyway. 760 hp naturally aspirated Lt engines are the norm anyway. Hellcats need the blower to get there, gm does not.
No posi???
This was inspirational I’m starting on a 72 rally sport very soon 💪🏾
I know this show is aimed at diy crowd that can do this work in a garage, but why is it that we never see a car caucus dipped into acid and complelty stripped and treated for rust?
It really sucks you guys are screwing up that Camaro. It is in great rebuider ,hell I'd drive it after a few weekends of detailing. Those are hard to find. Screw you. I won't watch you commit this crime against this car.🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡😊
I think Carcass is one of the better shows. When I seen the first show from them, I thought Jeremy was going to come off as a douche with his platinum hair, but he is more relatable to me. This show is not your typical southern redneck Powernation show, and I like that. Not all car enthusiasts are hillbillies, and that stereo type that this channel follows gets rather old and overdone. Now I just wish I could see a Hispanic man, a normal Hispanic that is not there for comic relief, or taco tuesdays lol.
I can’t even watch past 10 mins of this build. I’m very disappointed
All that time and money, I'm surprised that y'all kept leaf springs out back.
Apparently, people don't pay attention. Complaining why didn't use an LS? It was clearly stated that they used a Motown LS! 😂😂😂
I’d love to see a before and after weigh in on this build. Great car guys
I get that using a donor car to do track days but if you were putting a 30k engine and another 20-30k worth of after market suspension braking and others why wouldn’t you start with a tubular chasis built for racing and bolt fiberglass body on it.
i mean its cool but that was a nice 72 RS
Looks very clean!
You lost me at the comically large spoiler….
