38 thoughts on “Ford 460 Engine Build Part 2 – Horsepower S13, E9”
  1. Ive built 460s for 43 years. If Ford would have used a deep skirt block set it up for 4 bolt mains with crossbolts…this engine could have done some terrific things. Then Ford drops it. Ford management are all idiots. They dont deserve to work for Ford.

  2. Do all you ford lovers noticed they always canpare chevy to a ford but! The chevy always has a storker kit and the ford is always sock lol not really right

  3. Stop using .050 start lift and start using .006 start lift, it gives us better information in the camshaft !!! We did .006 start lift years and then we changed. Why ???

  4. CO2 at only 7%😳😏 that's a good indicator that the internals of most engines are decent or hammered shit. Generally you want over 12% CO2 or your likely in need of some internal work, due to valve, cam, or piston ring wear.

  5. If Ford had been smarter back in the 80s they would've made engines like the 460 multivalve and supercharged. That's the simplest way for these older engines to get higher horsepower and torque while still meeting emission standards. It's more costly but it would get better performance either way.

  6. Here you go again making it sound like your making the BB Chevy and the 460 sound equal. When all the time there isn't any comparison. Why didn't you upgrade the Ford crank, rods, and pistons like you did on the BB Chevy? Once more remember "WINNERS DON'T CHEAT AND CHEATERS DON'T WIN"!

  7. I notice they take their time with an ls or GM junk but ford they just rush threw throwing them together must be just doing it to satisify the viewers that complain about their is other engines besides chevy. Smh.🤦‍♂️

  8. An important question / are you working on making a clearance for the exhaust valve or the intake manifold, and what is the mechanism for calculating clearances?
