Ive built 460s for 43 years. If Ford would have used a deep skirt block set it up for 4 bolt mains with crossbolts…this engine could have done some terrific things. Then Ford drops it. Ford management are all idiots. They dont deserve to work for Ford.

I am a firm believer in E3 plugs. They seem to start quicker and power is up. My 2.2 Chevy loves em.

Stop using .050 start lift and start using .006 start lift, it gives us better information in the camshaft !!! We did .006 start lift years and then we changed. Why ???

Me and buddy bought a set of those E3s back in the day. 3 of 4 died at once in his car just weeks after install. I swapped mine out before that happened to me too 😂😂
370hp for a big block 460 seems trash to me sorry. if i were to buy that motor spend all that time building it and throwing 2500$ at it id expect at least 1hp per cubic inches
You had me up to the e3 plugs …EVERYONE I have run fails …stick with motorcraft..
CO2 at only 7%😳😏 that's a good indicator that the internals of most engines are decent or hammered shit. Generally you want over 12% CO2 or your likely in need of some internal work, due to valve, cam, or piston ring wear.

Did the Ford 460 make 378 or 389 HORSEPOWER? In the first video , They claimed 378 horsepower for the 460 . In this version they claim it was 389. How much did it make?
If Ford had been smarter back in the 80s they would've made engines like the 460 multivalve and supercharged. That's the simplest way for these older engines to get higher horsepower and torque while still meeting emission standards. It's more costly but it would get better performance either way.

Here you go again making it sound like your making the BB Chevy and the 460 sound equal. When all the time there isn't any comparison. Why didn't you upgrade the Ford crank, rods, and pistons like you did on the BB Chevy? Once more remember "WINNERS DON'T CHEAT AND CHEATERS DON'T WIN"!

The only thing a girdle does on a bbf is stop the parts from damage and in place it doesn't stop the webbing from letting go
How can you call this a budget build? You guy are spending thousands of dollars on this project.
An important question / are you working on making a clearance for the exhaust valve or the intake manifold, and what is the mechanism for calculating clearances?
