We get hands-on with reviving our 1964 Ford F-350 Flatbed shop truck. With its iconic design, we’re ready to bring it back to life and create some power with a new 445 cubic inch FE engine. This engine isn’t just your typical old engine; it’s been enhanced with a custom ground Comp hydraulic roller cam, Scat crankshaft, Eagle I-beam rods, and a whole lot more. We also install new Trick Flow FE heads, a Trick Flow Tunnel Wedge intake, and a FiTech Go-EFI dual quad setup for a grand total of 587 horsepower and 567-pound feet of torque! We’re also upgrading the brake system and moving the fuel tank for safety and reliability. It’s all about making improvements and making our beloved truck run smoother and better.

Wrong kind of straight six needs a Cummins
When you have a ford 300 straight 6 turbo making 373 rwhp you leave it! You buy another truck and make another build for the fe! Allthough either engine is bad ass. Just the turbo 6 is more rare and was more of a shocker!
I love FE motors, but for the same money, you could have bored and stroked a 460 out to a 535 or even a 557! An easy 650+ hp and 750+ lb feet!
I like the 6 cyl turbo better.
FE stands for Freaking Expensive…..
Love that old beast
How much would it cost to have All this done?
Does anyone know the name of the brake line clamp he used?
Y'all moving the engine around freely in all directions when making motor mounts? Ain't that gonna make the driveshaft align like shit? There goes a good pinion angle…
Just for the fun of it what kind of horse power would a 1970 era 426 hemi make if it had just a single 2 barrel carburetor?
May I ask why you guys decided to fab your own motor mounts rather than just buy some new ones? After all the FE series of engines was available in the F-Series of pickups in 1964.
I ask because it seems you could have gotten a much more accurate fit with factory or aftermarket parts rather than you guys and your “well that looks good enough” approach to things.
Drinking game guaranteed to make you pass out drunk: take a drink every time Eric says, “now”
Guy, could have spray paint the engine bays…. 🤔
.
That's actually a 391 before the mods. The 391 came in that body style Ford. I know cuz I have a 65 with the 391, 1 ton, 4 speed that was my grandpas truck ! Mine also has the disc brakes from the factory too. My grandpa ordered it to pull big camping trailers.
The only thing am disappointed is that didn't clean up rust out of the engine bay and painted it
inline 6 definitely doesn't have that glorious sound of a v8.
First off, thank you guys for not swapping a Cummins or LS in it. While a lot of us prefer the 300, an FE is one of the good options for this setup.
The best option would have been a MEL 462👀
Way cool build guys.
Can't understand why you guys didn't paint the engine Ford blue.
Don't listen to the haters! What are y'all doing with the transmission and rearend? Three pedals and 3.73s I hope.Don't do any paint work and maybe throw on some pull off 19.5's and sell to me(cheap….er)😁
