From here on in, the #FairmontProject videos will be, for the most part, episodic. Meaning, Im going to chronicle the build as it happened rather than post videos about installing certain parts.
In this episode I fit the new K member to see if I have hood clearance. Watch till the end to see if I do.

What product do you have in n your down pipe for heat wrap/ heat sleeve? I can’t find anything like that.
Could you please demonstrate cleaning of fuel injectors in chevrolet spark vehicle
Is the intercooler setup an air-to-air or air-to-water?
38:18 Me about the whole series of Fairmont videos.
Ive got the same socket set from gp. I have quarter inch with sae and metric in the same case, 3/8ths and a massive half inch set. The extensions with wobbly and solid are awesome. I got mine from my snap on guy at my last shop, where did you get yours from?
Huh. I'll admit it's been years and years since I paid much attention (having sold the Fairmont ages ago) but I didn't know they made coilovers for the Fox.
Hot rod magazine is huge! Congrats man!
Kept trying to think of who your voice reminds me of…. Dick Cavette
Eric, enjoy your work / education. Hey, I see in this episode there is a battery box in the back of the Mustang, can I ask what type / brand it is? Specifically because I am doing an LS swap into a 3rd gen camaro, and will move the battery to the right rear, but am concerned about it being in the "open area" of the car, and wondered if there was a special / specific box used for this application. Thanks
Hope the foxbody Mustang gets a rebuild, love those body styles.
Wouldn’t run that silicone bend off the turbo. That’ll suck closed under boost
Awesome car, lookiing forwards to seeing more.
39:55 omg hahaha Eric had me when he said “alright, moment of toothâ€ÂÂ
Are you switching to fuel injection? I thought I saw a video where you were having trouble dialing in the carburetor with the turbo.
18:15 "Nut Removal" Sounds painful.
@44:15 ouch! quit it! ouch! quit it! ouch! quit it! ouch! quit it! ouch! quit it!
Great vid
hey u dropped something at 9:55
What brand blow off valve and waste gate?
Watching 10 minutes of disassembly by hand was so satisfying. lol. I have to do a driveshaft on my Honda Civic, and I find myself wishing that the bolts were all just hand-tight.
That Fairmont interior is the cleanest Fairmont interior I have EVER seen. I didn't know it was possible for a Fairmont to have a clean interior. LOL.
What I love the most about this project is that a Fairmont was used.
Please paint the engine bay.
Love the Fairmont ( and i'm a "Chevy" guy ).
That external oil filter is genious, I can't wait to do this to my 2000 neon
Where did you get the aftermarket coil cables? I want some for my car since I'm trying to bring it up to modern times but I only find them on eBay
So what is that steel bar behind your seat? It doesn't look like a roll cage but it also does
"The car gods will hear me, and I will be severely punished"
This happened to me the other day
install a allen head bolt in oil pan , done
New parts are great. Everything actually separates without hammers, torches or pry bars.
So replacing it with a round headed torx drain plug was not an option? Better than all that wacking I would think…
Yes, another Fairmont video!
I'm a big fan of you Eric, out of every video of yours I have seen I have learned quite a bit and enjoyed all of them. This video made me FRUSTRATED so many times. The reason is because this build was so incredibly poorly planned, you went from having a complete car to tearing it all apart and basically swapping out a lot of brand new parts that you'll probably never do anything with again. I hope you're really happy with the build in the end but I learned that it's important to plan things out a lot better, you definitely did an awful job thinking this out. Especially that oil drain plug…you could have easily tapped a new one and closed that one up, I doubt there's crazy baffling inside that one.
