  1. I bought a '64 tbird in mostly great condition, passed inspection but still "seeps a bit" as my mechanic I take it to says. 70K mileage. I've replaced the fuel pump, plugs, got rid of the point ignition, new power steering pump, a few oil changes and seafoam treatments. Learned how to adjust the reverse band to get the transmission working in every gear.
Lots of work to do. Your channel keeps me motivated.

  2. hey Eric, I have a 95 Lincoln Mark 8 the speedometer gauge is unreliable at best. jumps around and dropped to zero while doing highway speed also my door lock solenoid fires but does not engage the door lock. electric locks work fine solenoid in the doors just cycle rapidly all the time help if you can. appreciate all you do.stay dirty.

  3. Why wasn't Scotty Kilmer at the meet up? All the other YouTube celebrities were there. Eric O, Scanner Danner, Disgruntled Mechanic. Did you invite him??

  4. I find that nolathane/poly bushes feel very different in different cars. My car has nolathane bushes all round and drives amazing, I've been in other cars that were so damn stiff after new bushes that they were nearly useless

  5. If my employer demanded that I spend $8k in tools/equipment, then I believe I'd be asking for a $10k raise. Asking for merely $8k in salary raise would still leave you in the hole due to taxes. Good luck brother!

  6. Hey Eric, I have a 2000 Ranger with a 3.o v6. My question is this, My neighbor makes a much more flavorful, moist chocolate cake than me-what could I do differently because I want to make my neighbor look bad at social gatherings-thanks in advance!

  7. hi eric i have 2008 gmc acadia and one of the fans are notworking i changed fuse box cuz of that but after 3 years it having same problem

  8. In your opinion where is the best place to buy/order parts from? Where do you buy from regularly? Can you post a link to where ever you use.

  9. Hey Eric, I have a 1999 F-150 and the power steering pump is whining, do i need a new one or is there anything i can do to quiet the one i have.

  10. Also my 2012 Suzuki Swift (1200cc) tends to pull back when I ease off the accelerator. Could that be the transmission (CVT) or the engine?

  11. I have a 99 grand cherokee limited with a 4.7 that just wont run right. I have replaced the cam sensor the crank sensor, the fuel pump, the IAC valve. had the computer looked at its' still working properly. it starts but chokes out and sputters badly. runs fine when feeding it starting fluid. What other options can i explore to get it running correctly? i love the vehicle and don't want to give up on it. I have also replaced the fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter.

  12. ive got a Ford Escape that sometimes dont start at all, i mean no crank, no nothing. Just the lights in the dashboard. check the starter its fine. Fuel line is fine, pump is fine and Anti theft is fine. Could it be the key cylinder?

  13. Hey Eric, thanks for the vids. after watching your 98 civic engine replacement videos over and over, I've gained the confidence to do the same project on my 05 civic lx. timing belt went and needs a new engine. just wondering from a mechanics point of view is there a preference between getting a jdm or usdm engine?

  14. Would you be upset if I randomly showed up at your shop to ask you some questions? I had attended your meetup but the majority of the group had you surrounded, tighter than fort knocks to get to you.

  15. Hey Eric,
Thanks to you i've done many repairs on my car from breaks to AC system.
Quick question, 2004 ford ranger XLT. manual transmission. When idle i hear a loud metallic rattle coming from under the truck. Cant really hear it while moving, but it is especially loud in enclosed spaces (drive through's especially).
    Any ideas?

  16. Hey Eric, what do you think of the reliability of the 2001 chevy silverado 5.3. Mine has almost 195,000 miles and would like to know how much life I could get out of it. Also any common problems I should watch for. Thanks, Dusty A

  17. I have a Suzuki Swift 2012. It's really bouncy in the front, I'm wondering if the suspension is bad but everyone just tells me that these cars usually have really soft springs/struts. Am I being paranoid here? The undercarriage gets touched once in a while.

  18. Hi Eric. 2000 Odyssey, 194k Original Engine and Transmission (Somehow!). I have an engine oil leak that is not originating in the oil pan or drain plug area. It seems to be coming from inside the engine bay. Any ideas?

  19. Good evening brother! just wanted to say thank you for helping me pursue my dream of becoming a great automotive technician, you have done worlds of help for me and i cannot thank you enough.

  20. Hey Eric, so I have a 2001 Isuzu Rodeo that runs great. But the Check Engine light turns on once in a while and the code refers to the Mass Air Intake. I cleaned it out and bought a filter, but the light continues to turn on and off every few miles. Does this mean I should replace the Intake altogether since it turns on and off every so often?

  21. Hey Eric Reece from Australia here! I have been watching your videos for the past 6 months( your a Mechanical GOD). i Start My Automotive Mechanical apprenticeship next Weekend… any tips for me or a beginner starting his first week. thanks Eric

  23. Not sure if you've answered this before Eric, but what's the craziest repair you've ever done for a client's car that you completed, I mean like going down the rabbit hole (aside from Fixing It Forward cars)?
