  1. That works only in recently plasti dip. But it doesn’t work on surfaces with old plasti dip

  2. I know this is an old video but any more videos on the CC ? I have a 2009 CC Passat and absolutely love it. 2 litre turbo diesel with the 6 speed DSG and it’s a weapon. Love to see more VW clips.

  3. Rubbing alcohol dries out rubber. I would be really cautious about letting it pool very long between the tire and the rim

  4. LMAO. THIS DOES not work. I went through two cans of WD-40. Tried two bottles of rubbing alcohol. Like 99%. Don’t waste your time or money. I even took the fucking car to the car wash and burned through 20 dollars.

  5. Thanks for this video. I've been debating plasti-dipping the rim's on my 4runner. Was worried about removal.. this changed my mind. Going to pick up my brake pads right now, gonna snag a couple bottles of plastidip, while I'm there! Thanks man!🤘😎

  6. what if i used duplicolor? ive been using sandpaper and it's been a good hour and im not even 25% done yet with one wheel, the sandpaper is working its just going to take days at the rate im going, please reply

  7. Nice thanks, I'm actually thinking about applying plastidip to my new car wheels to make them all black and wanted to know how easy it would be to change my mind later on.

  8. I did a shitty job on my plasti dip do it’s a little hard to take off. It looks nice but I could’ve done a better job. 2nd time should look better!

  9. Gasoline works best I just took plastidip off my wheels after 6 years and I used gasoline and a pressure washer and it came off flawlessly very little effort

  10. rubbing alc will remove any wax or seal on your car so if you do get it on your car make sure to rewax that spot or it will be unprotected.

  11. Alcohol doesn't work for me. I used goof-off as a solvent, works better but I still cannot get it completely clean on the inner edges between the "spokes". I used a pressure washer and it started peeling the rim's coating. Any suggestions?
