Soon you might never have to get out of your car to get gas. Chevy is trying out a program where you don’t have to get out to swipe your credit card at the pump. They’ve partnered with Shell to debut the program with is available on almost a million Chevy vehicles in Detroit, Seattle, and Houston.

Using the Infotainment center in their cars, people can find participating gas stations. Then all they have to do is enter their pump number and a 3-digit activation code on the pump and it charges to a preselected payment option. What do you think – cool technology or useless?
