  1. How much would an engine like this cost? I have a 2.3l in my 03’ ford ranger. Would like to get a bit stronger of an engine!! ( daily driver )

  2. Not gonna lie. I just found this video 4 yes later. I'm a big Ranger guy. Know them inside and out. I need one of these engine builds. I would like to build a track day Ranger with one. I'm from AL so running this around Barbers in a Ranger would be a thrill for myself and fans alike.

  3. Did he say " Racing Started in the US " ???? The reason you might look overseas for racing parts for that motor is it's originally a English engine , it was first used in Cortinas , Escorts, Granadas , Transit Trucks , in England there is a Twin Cam 16 valve Cosworth Headed version sold in Cortina Cosworth and Escort Cosworth . It runs twin side draught 45 mm Weber carbies . But yeah good job of making the standard single cam go .

  4. "I have a 2.3 engine for 30,000 that makes 260+ hp"……….
For the average person you're far better of with a turbo.
Unless you really want to spend that kind of money, and spend 150+/oil change every 200 miles, and replace your spark plugs and check valve lash every oil change.

    Cool parts!………..in your garage.

  5. I just looked them up ten thousand dollar engine.. That's a lot of Money for the motor I understand it's all custom, but what about the enthusiast?I just would like to build oh nobody.Wants to spend ten thousand dollars on a four cylinder…

  6. With good 2.3 head cores getting scarce, Esslinger should again start producing their aluminum D-port head. They could recoup the costs pretty quickly.
