What a lame excuse for using 2 air systems… all that's needed is a solenoid to shut off the air to the rear suspension distribution block/solenoids to keep the system working with a bag rupture. Plenty of Semis run everything with the trucks air supply. The real truth is that this show is a showcase for manufacturers' products who obviously pay for the advertisement. Putting the 3rd air tank so close to the rear tire was a fail also. Tread separation destroys air tank. Could have at least combined the 2 systems so that the electric pumps back up and parallel the engine driven pump… mount the 3rd tank with the other 2 tanks to increase capacity.
I suppose that with the limited budget and time constraints that some lame content gets through unfiltered…..
Nice 4×4 Parade Queen though
what is ian doing now
Sweet build. I had considered one of these a while back but came across a Unimog. It is the same size and finding a trail that it will fit is the only issue.
“It’s an army truck, it’s invaded countries, it’ll go anywhere”
“I know it’ll go anywhere, I just don’t know if it’ll get out”
I may be entirely projecting but that was funny
That air bag concept is cool .
I know it not really in the spirit of the build, but I'm just curious what kind of mileage this rig gets?
A spectacular demonstration of disrespect and stupidity … all that was lacking were low profile tires with spinner wheels 👎👎👎
Too bad there wasn't a way to keep the fire fighting tanks as a bolt/strap down, just in case the area needed a back up
I'm glad they didn't try sanding and removing that CARC
This truck is or was unless he sold it, by a friend of mine in Grand Island NE. I have driven it myself. It's quite the truck.
Watching the suzuki get blasted with the exhaust, they should rename it Smoked Sushi or something.
In areas like the frame you're better off using a paint that you apply with a brush/roller. Its much thicker so you get far more coverage with much fewer coats. But the main reason its better is because you can work it into a porous surface like rust with a brush/roller. Spraying won't penitrate a surface, it just sits on top. Thats why painters will apply paint with a sprayer and then spread it with a roller to saturate the substrate. I like oil-based rustoleum which also can be sprayed if you cut it with a solvent.
Gotta luv granny low gear. Best for crawling over boulders and trees.
Any one know what shock they went with?
The star is upside-down on the hood!!!!
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls God Bless Ya 🙏
What acouple of immature geeks. You need to do some time in the Military.
I think the chick on the truck just had her hand cut off; “long sleeve short sleeve?”
Why bob it in the first place? Why not leave it as a 6×6?
Air bags belong on its seats not its axles.
hes having wayyyy to much fun just reving it haha h awseome
As badass as this is I feel like this truck would have done all this anyways
Up Next…2 weenies at the weeniehut
I personally would've kept it as a 6×6
That multi fuel will not tolerate to many starts like that no oil pressure and revving it to the moon.
I think its weird because you create a 4×4 instend 6×6,i think its beautiful if its 6×6,not 4×4
A Ram 1500 came or comes with Dana 60s???
So, the Suzuki would fit in the back if left with tandem axels and secure the load with the gate possibly closed…. Let hack the back of it off and then modify the modify
the back of the truck if it was longer it would be better
Is anybody really dumb enough to pay $5.95 + S&H for an episode? You'd think they'd at least sell each project as a dvd mini series.
It don't need hudge tires
😅
its like watching paint dry with those diesel powered rigs
AWESOME!!!!!!
why did you keep the center axle instead of ditching that output shaft for the rear axle…..
Great job!
You should do a bit more studying. You can put a valve in the factory air system, that would not disable the rest of the system if you blow an airbag. The compressors are a lot of extra cost. To run 12v on a 24 system. A simple relay and bring the positive wire off the grounded battery works great.
😁✌🖖👌👍😎
Why buy a 6×6? BECAUSE IT IS A SIX BY SIX. WHAT THE F WRONG WITH YOU.
Safety? Really? Ever heard of a check valve. I work on heavy trucks for a living. They use one compressor for every thing all they have to do is separate the different systems by check valves. Even your truck has a primary and secondary system for the brakes. Just admit you used that crap for the show, nothing wrong with that.
If they didn't cut the back axle off then that side by side would probably fit in the back. Everyone who bobs a deuce will spend an extra 1000 years in purgatory!
What ever happened to this truck? Anyone know?
