  1. I have a 2000 chevy S10. It shut off when driving and it would turn over but it wouldng start like if the fuel pump was out. I checked the fuel pump to hear it but nothing. I replaced it and nothing same thing turns over but no start. No fuel in the rail so i jumped the fuse box where the fuel relay goes and the fuel pump turns on and fuel in the rail. I noticed the wires from the ecm to the fuse box was touching the exhaust manifold and melted a few wires to it bad. I replaced the ecm and taped up the wires as good as i can. But still same out come. Greatly appreciated if you could help.

  2. @EricTheCarGuy I would like to know if you have experience replacing the faulty VTC actuator in a K24Z Honda engine? its a rattle that occurs during a cold start. if you know about this, what advice can you give?

  3. I am having trouble with my 2003 Chrysler town and Country Van
     I started it up yesterday in that ice storm, it ran for about 5 minutes as I wanted to do some defrosting, but then it clicked and just shut off. When I went to start the car it just kept clicking and the engine wasn't even trying to turn over. Do you think this might be the starter, but if it was wouldn't it of not started to begin with?

  4. hey eric my 1997 honda civic ex horn dont work i check the fuse under the hood and check the horn i took 2 wires the horn and the battery and horn works also i cant find the horn relay where is that dam thing and what should i check next bro email me if u can nicholaschristy26@yahoo.com Thanks bro

  5. 2005 Ford F-150 . replaced rear rotors. "dragging" sound still in rear. Need help to adjust , fix , replace emergency brake in the rear rotor.

  7. Eric, my 92 Acura Legend Base has a short my fan comes on even when it hasnt been startedr while parked, it drains my battery, this is my 3rd battery put in please HELP!!!!

  8. hello eric,how to check for low output engine water pump on 2000.1500series,5.3 silverado.i tink this unit dont pump the cooling the way should be how i can check.thankyou bigguy.

  9. Check out Powerstrokehelp. It's a channel all about the Ford PowerStroke Diesel. from the 7.3, to the 6.4, with all sorts of tips and solutions. Bill is an excellent help to the PSD. community. I'd recommend it. Also. My 1993 Buick Park Avenue 3.6L V6 Supercharged, with the Gran Touring Package has a crank, no start situation. I think it's the crankshaft sensor, it pops starting fluid, but doesn't go. My dad thinks it's the harmonic balancer. The engine shakes while cranking too. Any thoughts?

  10. @13FravelJ Study up on your electrical and emissions stuff as those technicians do the best when it comes to finding a job and it comes with a better pay scale most times. Good luck.

  11. @EricTheCarGuy what I mean is when your certification says "automobile technician". I just seen your FATR 25 video and yours says "Master Automobile Technician". thats what I mean. I would choose the Master technician because he could do anything to a vehicle. I am going to go for my master Technician certification. I am currently going for my automobile technician certification now. I am going to a career center, so I am only learning the 4 basic areas.

  12. @13FravelJ Not sure what you mean by 'regular technician' your either ASE certified or your not. Seriously, if you had a choice between hiring a master tech and a 'regular tech' what would you choose?

  13. @EricTheCarGuy Hey Eric, Are you a Master technician or a regular technician? Does Transmissions have there own certification?On the website I found out the tests are $36 no matter how many tests is taken. you only have to pay the registration fee for the tests. Lastly, thanks for the info and if I think of anymore questions and I cant find them on the website i'll be sure to ask. best of luck on your new shop. hopefully it dont stay clean for long.

  14. @13FravelJ Depends, to become a master technician you need to pass the basic 8, there are many tests for parts and body work too as well as diesel work. You might direct your questions to ASE.com if your serious about it.

  15. @EricTheCarGuy how many tests are there? still not bad for a test that could end up making you thousands of dollars. I would take that anyday.

  16. @vinrock209er All I can do is guess here but fuel does get old and if you started running through old stuff it may be a while before it works itself out. Letting a car sit is the worst thing you can do to it so it's anybodies guess at this point. Good luck.

  17. @13FravelJ "Hard" is a relative term. Certification is for 5 year periods. Every 5 years. Depends on where you live, there are test centers in every major city sometimes more than one. You don't have to take refresher courses if you feel you can pass the tests. Don't forget that you also need to show 2 years working experience to become ASE certified.

  18. Hey Eric, I have a few questions, is the ASE test very hard, How long does your certification last? How do you know when to refresh your certification? where do you go to do your what I call "update test", and do You have to go through refresher courses?

  19. hey eric, i drive a SUV that has full time 4×4 and i would like to make it 4×2, is that possible and if so how do i do that? thanks
