In this segment we cover the disassembly of the HVAC assembly and replace the blower motor. I also so the operation of the blower motor itself. There’s a lot of fasteners here and 2 different screw sizes. Be sure to keep them organized while you work so that you don’t miss anything when you reassemble. It’s a lot of work for sure but worth it in the end. Having the HVAC out like this also gives you the opportunity to clean out the inside of the assembly as this system did not use a cabin air filter. Now you know why we use those now. We have much cleaner HVAC systems as a result.

OMG! I'm totally fuck! Thanks for taking your time to make this video however.
Okay so this is like four or five years too late (lol!!), but here’s possibly your part and part number for the expansion valve on the Vigor:

Nightmare Job. How can you remember all of that?
Holy mother of screws.
No wonder I was able to buy a 96 TL for 300 bucks..
Insane!
This is so ridicules it is laughable. This is how the car makers have designed access to the heater coreblower motor for decades. Why in heavens sake can they not allow easier access through the firewall side. Or design the process where you don't have to dissemble the entire interior to do this repair.
It is no wonder it cost hundreds to thousands to have this repair done.
Can anyone say over built
surprised he didn't replace the heater core while he was in there
and i thought changing the resistor in my grandpas cavalier was hard
Wow, this is crazy!! I'm glad the bower motor was right under the glove box when I had to change the transistor on my old Citroën 🙂
iv had this done to my 94 acura vigor and now my heater core has failed . all the money iv put in this , is it worth it ?
that is so insane all that just for a blower fan! I remember doing Jobs like this on Audi's. They do almost the same exact thing on alot of there models.
How to build an Acura Vigor: Take a blower motor, and then build the rest of the car arround it… God damn…
so it's meant to a have 2 motors blowing underneath? hhhmmm. might have to this this kind of fix on mine
eric did not do it but if u are in there and u live in a area where it gets cold.replace the Heather core as well. you dont want to be stuck some where and not be able to turn on the hot air!
This is insanity!
You deserve a medal for replacing that "sheet"
The lego puzzle from hell
Makes me so thankful that 91 accord was no where near as hard !
In my head i kept repeating "Eric you should test that motor too see if its working" and you did, just for me, thank you 😛
Dear GOD man.
Not to hate on you Eric, but I just find it amusing that you have stated in your past videos that "you haven't thought much of gm products in quite some time", yet you seem enjoy designs such as this? Unless your video editing skills leave out all the f bombs and throwing things while slowly progressing your way into some of these "interesting" jobs.
On a side note, I'm glad you finally got yourself a nice lineup of cordless power tools. I commented/recommended on one of your videos a few years ago to look into cordless tools. Looks like they're working well for you!
This video series gave me a reason to not buy an Acura Vigor. That entire HVAC assembly is a joke. The only other vehicle I've seen a setup like this on is an older model Durango. Why make a 10 minute blower motor R&R into a day/weekend project…..?! I really hope the Acura TL's do not share this same design,. I have no idea how you remember where all that madness goes when it's time to bolt things back together. It's amazing how you'd think that once the dash is out, life is good. Nope, that's just the beginning with this disaster of a job.
What's the ICME on this whole job?
When you've finished & take a look outside & read the news there will have been 2 more world wars, 6 new Presidents & 50 more tax code changes.Maybe a cure for cancer oh! & a water driven vehicle.
