  2. Great video. I just changed the compressor and belt, but now I have an RPM dependent noise (sounds like a whine). I asked my mechanic to switch out the idler pulley at the same time while he was there. Is there a chance the replacement could be the issue? Its a very noticeable sound when driving with the ac on.

  4. Eric, not sure if you’ll see this… but on my vehicle the clutch is not disengaging. (Staying engaged with AC on and off) my AC/heat still works, do you think it may be the clutch/bearing assembly similar to what you’re dealing with here?

    I have an issue with the ac of a 06 Lincoln Navigator I just recharge the system but still not cold air coming out I hear a hissing noise at the back of the car like in the very rear right side of the car any suggestions thank you

  7. Loved the video until you hit the inner race of the bearing with a hammer. That will damage the bearing. An easy way to install bearing is to heat the pulley in an oven to 300F then the bearing will take very little force to seat it by tapping on the outer race

  8. Good video Eric. All that crap inside the hub is oil, UV dye and evidence of an overheated shaft seal and a leak (possible) The brown dust is definitely a sign of the bearing failure, good diagnosis. Early models used to also wear the front alloy nose cone and blow a fuse, later ones blow the internal fusible diode, so yep the magnet coil needs replacing. I find the need to remove one shim to compensate for the wear on the hub and pulley face, in order to get correct air gap. Cheers from Aus

  9. Hi, my compresor sounds like that but during idle it wont cool but while driving it gets cold 🥶 can this be the problem also?
