Speaking of power, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has claimed to produce the most powerful direct injected V8 in the world. The Drive reports that the company has a new 1,400 horsepower DI V8 6.2-liter LT4 build with stock components and two turbos.
The kit fits high-output direct injected GM Gen4 products like the LT4 and L86 and retails for $6,000. The company says they plan on installing the engine in a 2017 ZL1 for track testing and hope to beat their own record this week so stay tuned! Take that electric engines! You may have torque but you will never sound as good as a v8 – boom!
