This is the FIRST modification video that I’ve done and it was fun. I’ve done quite a few accessory installs working at the dealer but this is one of the few aftermarket installs that I’ve done and I thought it went very well and I think my new grill looks great.

82 screw/clips later….Honda hardware:)
Hey Eric I just bought a 2004 87k miles are they good ppl say 2004 was the worst plz advice tnks
With using the razor blade to to trim the plastic for the new grill there is a scraper that holds such a blade, – I use it all the time and it would be a lot safer… m/
ðŸ‘ÂÂ
Watching Eric use a razor blade is like watching a two-year-old run with scissors. At the end of the day you’re amazed no one got killed but you cringe the whole time
Enjoy your videos. Thank you!
I have 2005 Element purchased new and have driven 138,000 miles with many 1000 miles plus trips and it has never never burned motor oil. But, It needs suspension components like bushings and cv boots and control arms etc replaced now
We love our Element? Eric do you have a vid on changing out the back rubber bushing on the rear suspension?
your state requires you to post your YouTube channel name to the front bumper?
This video, like your others, is great—-telling me what I need as far as tools and showing little tips along the way to help me complete a job I would never have attempted before! Thank You
Thanks for video Eric – I learned how to remove bumper from it. I enjoy your very good instructional and humor channels.
Lipstick on a pig.
I know I'm late to the element game. Always been a fan but for last 7 years I worked abroad. Since being back, I picked up and element. Your channel, sir, is awesome. Love folks like you. You make life easier for folks like me who want to learn more. Thank you sir.
I need an Honda element in my life
Thanks for the vid. Now that I see how easy taking the bumper off is Im going to do several mods like these grills in one day. Ill do fog light add in, new grilles and headlight upgrades. Im thinking a full day by myself. How long was this project for you? 2-3 hrs?
Hey! are the Headlights from a 2005 the same as 2007 and 2008?
is there a metal flap thing under the gas cap? I dont know if mine went missing or Im just imagining things
Tin snips are a fabricators best friend.
The rear trailing arm just ripped out of my 2005 Element 125k miles. Totally rusted out pan. Anyone have this experience I haven't found a fix yet. Any ideas.?K.G. Vt.
Yuck! The stock grills looked way better……
Where could I get one license plate holders from. I have a 2008 Honda element ex
Eric–Thanks greatly for your videos–they've been a world of help in the process of restoring my 2003 Element.
I have a deep gash (imPRESSion rather) in the plastic "bumper' just under the passenger side headlamp. Does this plastic have a memory? It's exceptionally tough plastic. Am `I re-duced to using something like "bumper-bondo" surfacing and then a paint bomb job on the front fender in flat black?? Hope someone has some advice and experience with this.. Thanks!!
that's ,the one I have love my toaster!
I have no problem with the stock grill.
I thought your Element was an '04.
ugh so ugly a hot air intake is a better 'mod' than this and car ID is a ripoff
chevy suburbans, honda elements and ford explorers are not trucks, stop calling them that.
eric carid is a rip off, they charge triple of what the item is worth
Was hopeing to watch a fairly simple install… was kinda disappointed but the result is worth the extra effort.
advertisement video eh?
wow card id is overpriced!
Nice! I have an 07' SC Met grey. I love the versatility of these things though the wife calls it a lunch box. She does like the gas millage and was pleasantly surprised at the power it has. Currently having an A/C issue but it does have 146k on it so no complaints other than that. Very safe car as well. Keep the vids coming.
how about a video replacing the tender gender horn with some hella horns?
You realize in 20 years from now, some schmuk will be replacing these back to OEM to make original. He will need to buy them on eBay and pay thru the nose for shipping…….I think the stock ones are cooler, but if you want to be different…..
You can't help this car it looks just BAD for me ;p
Use a TAJIMA Handy Saw for cutting plastic trim. Woodworker's Warehouse carries them. They cut on the pull stroke (as do all Japanese saws). The blade is very thin and makes precise cuts.ÂÂÂ
If you spray those plastic clips with silicone first they won't break when you remove them, and they come out a lot more easily, especially on a car that's older.ÂÂÂ
14:15 WATCH YOUR FINGERS :O
you should put a Honda logo on the new grill… it looks so empty without it
NEVER use electric tools on plastic….
5:46 OH! factory defect!
Stay dirty my friend
Eric in his right element.
hahaha 'giant ice cube tray'
great videos, I have a 2003 Element, same color.  Why no fog lights?  I installed my own, wasn't too bad for a novice.
I miss my friends 2005 Element. It had 200k+ miles on it, and the way it drove it felt like it had less than 50k. It got in an accident and the insurance totaled it.
I think it would be cooler if you painted it black/flat black
