We spent the night cleaning, painting, and installing various components to get us to a near complete long block! This project is taking so much longer than I thought – but man has it been fun!

  1. Great work, a joy for the eyes. I have an M5 with an s38b38 engine, stock now, any idea what would be achievable in power while remaining reliable. And what budget do i need for this kind of superb work?

  2. fyi, the silicone thing on the oil pan…….. gotta do better next time. if you do it backward from what you were doing, drag it along smoothly not push and dab, you can get one single consistent bead. you have to be skilled (like me) to get the whole bead though

  3. Alberto is a freaking idiot. Do you know how toxic brake cleaner is especially when you burn it?
Use Mineral spirits for cleaning. No torches. To clean before painting use acetone and wear a paint mask to be used with toxic vapors,Or use foaming glass cleaner and rinse with water.Glass cleaner cleans cylinders really well too. Carb spray is mostly Acetone and is far less toxic than Brake Cleaner.

  4. hello, i'm interested to rebuild a 2jz, but i can't realy calculate the price due to all the parts, so how did it cost for you? it will make a idea fro the price for me, thanks and continue like that, it's cool to see
