This cabin air filter replacement video applies to the forth generation Hyundai Elantra (2006-2010). Some parts of this video will apply to other Hyundai models.
It’s a simple process and doesn’t require a lot of tools. It can also save you a great deal of money replacing this maintenance item yourself. Not to mention it will help keep the air inside your vehicle free from contaminants.
The average replacement interval is every 15K, sometimes as low as 10K based on the air quality where the vehicle is being used.

Excellent demonstration, thanks.
If the side piece ever messes up (the plastic snappers) just make a little hole and put a tack to hold it up. The little plastic piece snapped off for me
I did get it done and those clips stink. I think one thing about the removal that I might know is that you can't have the glove box all the way open. The video mentions that on the re-assembly, but I think it's a problem in the removal, too. I used a screwdriver to pry the clips out enough to get my fingers on it.
Thank you so much
Thank you!
Thank you sir, works on my 07. Ya should have replaced that one, it needed it. 😉
In Australia this is on other side of car but these videos show you how to do things easily.
Fuel filter please.ðŸ‘ÂÂ
Fantastic–love how short and to-the-point this was. Told and showed me what I needed and nothing else. Checked my filter, and sure enough, it's filthy. Already ordered the replacement :).
How to remove the ignition coil 2010 Hyundai accent 1.4 ? Thanks a lot from Turkey
Changing mine tomorrow thanks to this info.
Obsolutly works on 2006 Elantra, thank you very much!
I have a 2007 Hyundai Elantra and this worked perfect for me, Thanks.
Thanks man you saved my time !!!
thanks man! you saved me lots of money!
Look at the direction of the pleats in the filter that was removed, now look at the direction of the pleats when installing the new filter.
where did you get those cabin filters? they look better than the stock ones.
same layout as toyota but somehow a shitty engineering
Thanks Eric. My wife just bought 2013 Hyundai Accent so I know how to change it now. 😎
Looks like the Elantra has a slightly better design than the Sonata. I have a 2008 Sonata, and the filter cover has clips on both ends, and both clips are broken so it is a real chore to get that cover off.
Hunday Hunday Hunday
Very useful, the poor cabin air filter is often neglected!
three videos in one day ? AWESOME!
