This video shows my little ‘adventure’ as I repair the blower motor on this 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. The Grand Marquis is pretty much the same as the Ford Crown Victoria or full sized Lincoln. I did end up fixing it in the end but it took a little bit to get to the bottom of the problem. I’ll admit that was my own doing but all’s well that ends well I suppose. 1. I have Marquis 2007 and He only blow air by the froth glass and cant change in the front or feets doesnt change I did replace the actuator all fuse are good air blower works now I dont know what else I can do

  2. Thanks bro, I appreciate the knowledge. I wondered why the switch harness melted in the first place. Thanks for letting us know you’re human. 😀

  3. Thanks for your scientific test to see if it will work, drove 45 min with no air in 20° weather in south Louisiana got to work tried it had full blast air again ! If it gets me ubtill I can get a new one it works !!! Thanks

  4. I flushed out my heater core and replace the heater resistor. But i still cant get any heat do u think it might be the blower motor? I do have cold ac.

  5. I would replace the switch! and agree the motor was drawing to many AMPS. But I give you allot of credit for admitting your mistake. good for you.

  6. This was very helpful for my Dads Grand Marquis and for my Marauder. Thank you! Saved us at least $300 between both cars!

  7. At the beginning when you are testing the blower motor, I see you have the knob on the right turned off. My blower motor doesn't work unless the one on the right is turned on to one of the settings, i.e. vent, norm ac, max ac, defrost, etc.

  8. A good Mechanic no matter how long you have worked still runs into issues right in front of them. It's only the the ones that think they know whats wrong and are can't admit it. You my friend may of had a bad day but in my 35 years of working on just about everything your truthfulness is worth gold to me.

  9. All my speeds work. AC works. The problem is the heat doesn't stay hot and i tried it on all the different functions, floor, vent, mix , defroster, i.e. it initially warm when first turned on but heat doesn't stay 2 minutes later. What's my diagnosis
