Here’s Part 2 of my HID fog light installation. I had to do quite a bit of modification to get this kit to work. If you’d like less work, I would suggest getting the fog light kit with amber lenses and not doing the HID. It would take a lot less time and effort. Still, I’m happy with the result and happy I made the extra effort for my Element. I will say that after having the lights for a few months there is a small amount of moisture in the lenses, probably due to them not being completely sealed. It doesn’t seem to effect anything, but I think it’s worth mentioning. Also worth mentioning is that I have yet to have anyone flash their lights at me or indicate that my lights were blinding them. I think the key here is to make sure you aim your lights properly. That way you can avoid such issues. As for your local laws, be sure and consult with those before installing any auxiliary lighting. I’d hate for you to go through the time and expense, only to find your modifications are illegal.

I wired the power wire to the cigarette wire and it's works but when I try to charge my phone and use the fog lights it blows the fuse. I need to splice it to the ignition wire that you did.
Not going to lie, it's tough watching Eric make those mods. Glad it turned out well, curious to hear how it held up.
The fog button I had to take a sander and sand the sides a little bit to make it not stick. Just took black paint and touched them up
All I did to my cars headlights was install LED bulbs for the driving lights and fog lights everything just plugged in to existing wiring lol.
Actually I think your fog lights should be able to work just with the marker lights. When there's fog, you turn off your low beam, and drive just with the fog lights and marker lights. That makes huuuge of a difference!

I would suggest that anyone who wants more light output than the halogen bulbs install LED bulbs instead of HID. They install just like the factory bulbs without any modification. There aren't any ballasts or extra wiring, the bulbs won't interfere with the fog light housings, they last longer, they come on instantly, they draw much less power and run cooler, and they are much cheaper. Just a suggestion.
I like your Videos and even the HID installs but im not sure that is so good that you put the ( i think it´s called so in america) "Ecu" in front of the Airbag-Crash Sensor, in a little Crash its now more possible get hit from the Airbag on Stage 1 as before, because when you car gets hitten in the front and the "ecu" kicks this sensor its bombs the airbag in your face o:

As a former car stereo installer, I always cringe when I see white zip-ties because they almost always mean a mechanic has been doing wiring. Haha.
You should use a DREMEL TOOL instead of a utility knife lol
That soldering iron is old school, you should get yourself a HEATGUN instead of using a bic lighter lol
So, say you're driving along, low beams + fog lights on. And you want to flash your high's at someone… That means you're going to blink your HID bulbs and ballasts. HID's hate being blinked. That high voltage going through and igniting the bulb, then going away makes the bulb more prone to failure. Which would be a pain in your case.
you had the same wire stripper in this video that I currently have! I hate using my wire stripper, it's a real pain in the ass lol
