Here’s the second installment of the 2004 Acura 3.2L TL engine replacement video series. In this episode we swap things over from the old engine to the new. It’s a bit more involved because the old engine is for a manual transmission and the new engine was fitted to an automatic. So for those of you looking for information on an automatic to manual swap, this video contains information you will need to make that swap.

Is this for a mdx as well looks the same just my is auto
This is why I’m a huge admirador of him, just setting cameras is a paÃÂÂn !! Keep the awesome job ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ»
I wish they made this car rear wheel drive. This would have been the most perfect car if they had.
36:36 "it's presenting" 😆😆🤣ðŸ˜â€Â
Can you pull the same size engine but automatic the same way? From the top?
I allways remove engine and trany from the bottom with the subframe using blocks of wood and moving dollies easiest way one day job and you don't have to remove every single connnetor just remove main harness connectors hot wire fuse block
Seems like u hate the car lol
Is the 3.5 off a 08 Tl type s same concept as this I need a new motor and Mine is manual and I’m going to get a automatic motor
Bet you miss your old garage… Lol I still do these in mine, on my back, pulling the subframe oot from under or engine out the garage door.. One day I'll build a dam barn. I'm on my 40s now thinking I should get on it sooner than later.
He must’ve charged the owner at least $3k-$4k for this entire engine replacement and about $300-$400 labor cost per hour. That’s insane!!
now since you you're switching from a manual to an automatic wouldn't you have to change all the car's computers
Just put the automatic transmission into the vehicle. Good news your vehicle's resale value went up. Bad news, it ain't as fun anymore.
eric you area hell of a man for doing this job. maybe im getting too old or just getting lazy i dont know but it makes me love my older chevys and fords. awesome job though.
Fucking love this
The seller could have saved all the hassle and sell the car with the spare engine and let the next owner decides what parts to keep and what parts to replace.
the only bad thing about doing this for someone and I've dealt with it NUMEROUS times.. When swapping a motor in a car for someone and you have never heard the motor run and neither has the customer there could be many problems.. there could be a bad injector, intake leak, bad sensors or something major like a bent valve or rod knock.. so after doing all the work of swapping Motors you then have to troubleshoot why the motor isnt running right and then you run back into the problems of having to pull the whole intake back off for a bad injector.. I hate swapping motors for people like this ESPECIALLY on a blind motor you haven't heard running. honestly I wont even waste my time on a engine swap unless the motor is guaranteed to run with paper work. YOU sir are 10x The mechanic I am lol because I wouldn't of touched this job 😂😂
All these videos just showed me how weak DeWalt is LOL, shoul have gotten a Milwaukee Fuel impact gun.
Can you remove a 3.5 through the top
Cant Stand Cheap People Like That, Nobody Wants To Do A Half Ass Motor Swap… I Feel For You
What impact are you using now today? Mine died. What is a good one. I was using a Makita I would like to use another brand this time. My batteries are dead as well too. Might as well try a new brand now.
Honda should’ve stayed with 4 cylinder engines. Their V6 is unimpressive to say the least.
Not much more satisfying than the sound of a bolt being broken
Man I'll stick to feeling cool that I can change my own license plate lol.
Watching this I can't wait until cataract surgery so I can resume on my '86 Dodge Caravan with Mitsubishi/Mikuni engine.
I don't like that seat belt. Too risky.11:45 camera operator goes under the engine. Belt gives and it's a bloody mess.
