In this video I show you how to remove the engine, transmission, and front subframe from a first generation Honda Pilot. This is my first step in replacing the transmission, servicing the engine, and reconditioning the front suspension and subframe on this vehicle.

I also deal with a broken shift cable on this vehicle and share how I repaired it.

In summary, it’s pretty much everything you needed to know about reconditioning everything that drives and supports the front of a Honda Pilot. I hope you find the information useful and entertaining.

  1. Thank u for all knowledge you give me greetings from Sweden 😄😄🇸🇪

  2. Been loving the series as I have the same exact car but sadly I'm probably going to have to scrap her as the subframe is rusting out like this one was.

  3. If your building it er rebuilding it, it will last another twenty years 😏✌️🤘🤘😎🇨🇦

  4. Great content and a good one to watch BUT….even doing the labor yourself, that seems like. TON of money to invest in a rusty 200,000 miles out 18 year old car!

  5. In 10 minutes of video I got served 10 ads, 5 of them unskipable. At number ten I stopped the vid. I dont know if its the new TV i've got, or new ad policies, but these many ads makes watching vids very frustrating.

  6. Eric you don’t no this but I’m living my best mechanic life through your video’s! Thank you for hard work. Be well my friend 🙏😎

  7. I always stretch the seat belt and Wrap it on the bottom of steering wheel loop it and Attach it to the Seat belt clamp to hold steering wheels straight just a tip on what I do the steering wheel Clamp works good also @EricTheCarGuy

  8. 🤣 Thanks Previous Mechanic! JERK!! I laugh at your comments and recall my similar moments when repairing vehicles.
