Here is the final installment of the transmission/radiator replacement on the 1998 Chrysler Town & Country. This is the longest video of the series so be ready to settle in for a long ride. It’s worth the wait as we finally get this van back on the road. Backing up too!
This is a BIG video, over 2.5 hours in length total. It will be released in 4 parts. There will be a full version available to Premium Members of EricTheCarGuy.com at the time Part 4 is released. Here’s a link to that. (if link is not visible, it is not available at this time.)

Eric the car guy did a great job 5 years ago.
Eric, really enjoyed this series, as well as all your videos. Do you have a link, where someone can donate ? I see this series had a, go fund me. But it’s not clickable, as I assume cause it’s 5 years old. But I’m wondering if you have a link that’s for more of a steady donation?
Eric…..Eric…..You're doing it wrong!! IT'S ALL WRONG!! LOL

When you put your transmission lines on the transmission, there is two tubes, is it important which one goes where? i'm just curious.
Come to Eric for your transmissions on all Chryslers he loves then the more the better.
1:11 – 1:18 😂😂ðŸ‘ÂÂ
Hi Eric, how to re-install the crankshaft position sensor. I read that new one has paper spacer but using the old one.How many millimeter is the gap? Can I push it down all the way and pull a bit to gap? Thanks Eric.Hi viewers can you please contribute too? Thanks.
At the end of the day,4 videos helped me a lot. Thanks Eric!
Necro-commenting to state that the bolt(@11:55 or so), in fact, goes the other way. The whole reason the steering stop had to be removed was to pull the bolt out that direction 😀
The battery terminal screws are a 10mm. That's what was in every Chrysler van I ever owned.
Note to self: Never ever buy a mini-van!
Eric you doing it wrong!!!!
every time you say it im laughing so much!! u got skills bru no doubt in it
You done a good job on that replace
Is that premixed coolant you're using?
Kinda silly just putting straight coolant in. Supposed to use 50/50 mix of coolant and distilled water.
that a nice van for being a 1998 it's not rust at all I think I was well worth fixing
Watched the entire series of this repair and not once did I see a torque wrench touch a nut or bolt.
Love this show, best car repair show ever! (Fix it forward I mean, definitely TV worthy!)
@ 35:00 – 35:13 true statement there. Chrysler could have done better
Hi! Did you do the learning process with the scan tool?
Eric, I see a lot of comments on this about this being a particularly hard vehicle to work on ,, do you agree with that?
that van is a straight up pos. I would never buy one of those.😉
Got to love the Simpsons "S-m-r-t" "I mean S-m-a-r-t" reference
can't wate for the next one
i really enjoyed the hole series
The Simpsons. 🙂
I am very proud of you Eric. Kudos and good job!
What I learned from this series, If your Town and Country breaks too much, push it in the river.
awesome video, you're a great guy for doing this.
Good thing you got reverse or it would never get out of the shop. Almost painted yourself in a corner. Whew!
Eric your the best brother,,god bless you brother,,
