Check out this gorgeous 1970 Plymouth GTX restored by a father-son team that is Katie’s featured car this week on PowerNation. Dennis Rostenbach of Rooster’s Rod Shop in Gaffney, S.C. and his 13 year old son Brandon did a full frame-off restoration in just 6 months and transformed this classic Mopar. The dropped in a Fulton Competition 540 cubic inch engine that makes 780 horsepower on pump gas. It’s backed up with an American Powertrain 6 speed with a hydraulic clutch. The unusual color choice is PPG’s “Brown Sugar”. 13 year old Brandon did body and interior work including the one-piece molded headliner done in Pecan leather and the custom package tray for the rear speakers. It rolls on U.S. Mags “Fishtail” wheels and Nitto rubber. The carbon fiber hood stripe is also carried into the interior. One gorgeous muscle car and one serious 13 year old future Chip Foose in the making here. Check it out this week on PowerNation, plus we’ve got some new tech from our shops and a cool tip from Summit tech expert Mike Downs on tubular front control arms.
