This Big Block Ford F-250 Pickup truck has been sitting in the trees for 11 years now. She’s got a 460, and 4 wheel drive. Once a beloved truck, after some rust issues surfaced, it was parked for something more reliable. I fight mice eating wires, a stuck engine, locked wheels, no brake lines, and a host more on this one! Think this sleeping giant will start and run once again? **All debris and garbage were picked up before departing. Ruts caused by the tires were backfilled and tamped**.

  1. My neighbor had an '85 F250 parked for 17 years in his field. I decided to try my own revival. It's a 300 straight 6/4-spd/4wd. It's in worse shape than this one in places and better in others. It too has a "Super Seal" sticker inside the driver's door, same location. I got it running and drove it 400 yards with about 25% brakes. I had a total of 3/4 mile to go, uphill, and thought I could make it but I couldn't keep it running long enough to start it on the hill if (when!!) it stalled again. Another neighbor towed me up the hill, I popped the clutch about 80 yards before my house and pulled it into my garage. I dumped the clutch and stalled it to a stop. One of these days I'll see if I can scare up a title for it. I bought it for a wood's truck but it's too cool to beat it up any further. It'll even pass inspection in NY state! (Although that ain't sayin' much and I ain't kiddin' ya…)

  2. When I bought my f250 460 off a farmer who couldn't remember the last time it had run, (couldnt have been that long ago it was a 97') it had been sitting in a field, had a healthy mouse colony that had made a happy home in it.. one of first times I was under the hood over by between start solenoid and hood hinge, I bumped my head on the hood and heard what I though sounded like a rattle… slowly backed my face out from underhood and looked up and a young rattlesnake had probably been chasing a mouse in the area behind the stamped supports of the hood and died somehow, it was quite crispy by the time it got the jump on me but that rattle sound works just as well dry and definitely left a mark on me that requires I carefully inspect the underside of every truck I work on now….

  3. Ok… let’s all admit it. If your n old school gear head. Yes GM is the easiest to work on hands down. But FORD and MOPAR did have some great ideas. Not saying either is greater then the other. Personally I hate and don’t care about MOPAR any year model or make. Wouldn’t drive a GM if you put a gun do my head. And 🖕 ford. I’m at the point in my life after spending hrs and yrs turning a wrench on “good ole American built” that they can all just be put in the grave. Nothing last 10 yrs… everything is over priced….

I get what this channel is doing and showing…but… who cares anymore. You can’t get parts… you can’t go old school w/o a ton of money and even if you do todays gas does work for crap with old school tech. And then you upgrade to tech stuff and that’s a arm and a leg to do.

You can not build an old school motor and trans w/o doing upgrades to make it road worthy with todays bs gas and oils.

Heck… my 05 ford ran like crap unless I ran 95. Ethanol ruined the combustion engine… especially the old school easy to work on engines

But yeah… you can make crap run like crap… and you have crap running like crap. You can can spend money making crap run like a wet dog. And you can can go broke making crap run like crap on todays water.

  4. Bros i have to agree one way or another WW3 is here it will not be adverted its just as God warned us and as Satan wants it truly truly makes sense it fits God's word and etc ….on and on and they most definitely want depopulation and are working hard for it because they are so blindly decieved by Satan and they are doing exactly what he wants sadly but God knows exactly what He is doing and who He is waiting to board the Ark praise God Hallelujah Glory to God Almighty amen
