It's actually wild you mentioned the ratcheting wrench being so new weirdly, it was actually invented by GEARWRENCH in 1996 lolol. Multiport fuel injection came out in 1955 with the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL. So, any 1955 300 SLs have been worked on without ratcheting wrenches for more of their lives than with them! 41 years before they came out, and 27 years since.
@4:55 that was probably Engine Masters with David Frieburger Steve Dulcich and Steve Bruhle. Sadly the show is no more 🙁
New Nissan titans and Armadas run a mechanical fan makes me wanna puke…..
Legit Street Trucks…
How brutal must it be for Alex to park next to a gorgeous newer Lightning?? lol
that small pocket is called a ring pocket its where youd hide a ring when proposing to your sweetheart of all things
"give it some throttle"
lightning- ok
ive never seen a voice activated lightning
when you "fish" a wire its like fishing becuase its so difficult takes so much time and patience that its exactly like fishing
2024 2500-3500 ram
It’s called a key pocket… bc we use to only have a need for 1 key. Has nothing to do with watches
You showed more info and problem solving than any video I have ever seen. I used to own a performance shop and only worked on mustangs and SVT trucks. Wow. Amazing how that mass air sensor made such a difference. Where is the truck now? Did you get the built engine installed?
Love the work you do, keep it up. You would have to be my favourite car builder on YouTube.
The little pocket is for an old school lighter.
the reducer thing looked dry rotted and cracked.
you should Rhino line that bed bro
The attractive of the SVT Lightnings is the SC whining and we got none.
Great series on the SVT Lightning!!! My 1st lightning was a used 99. Then in 2004 I traded it in on a brand new one. Left it bone stock and today I still have it with only 65K miles on the clock. Over the years I dreamed about doing different mods but it ran so nice I left it alone. Thought about selling it now that I’m in my 70’s but after watching this lightning series I don’t see how I can part with my old friend 😢. Matter of fact I think I’ll go out in the garage with a cup of coffee, turn on some tunes and do a little dusting under the hood. Thanks for the inspiration everyone. ❤
Well done chaps, she looks and sounds amazing. 👌🇬🇧
Wow have I got this to look forward to, if so then I'll start saving now, mind you mine has only 59k on it, but you never know! Great content guys – sorry I'm sooooo late joining the fun! 👍🇬🇧
Those tool prices are crazy. They want more for their pliers than I pay for Knipex
Everyone knows that little pocket is where you keep your pocket knife!
Engine Masters,I believe it was called " Hooker bashing"
Any update on the lighting in the works?
Beast !
Honestly, I like mechanical fans better my 07 Ford focus electric fan don’t want to kick on for some reason I’m gonna have to take the whole wire harness out and look through it
Ratcheting wrenches didn’t become mainstream until 2005 ish
Alex,
I love your channel…and love the way you always find the solution to fix an unexpected problem.
Would it be possible for us to jump on a call next week? I urgently need your advice with my 2016 Maserati Ghibli electronic issue. 2 certified Maserati tech gave up on my car and now I am desperate to find someone who could possibly help me….
Thank you in advance…
When is the next lightning video with new motor and if you found the boost
I just want to point out that the DeLorean, the poorly engineered, poorly assembled, sat-in-a-shed-for-30-years DeLorean, didn't give Alex the kind of trouble that this project has, and I suspect his troubles aren't over.
Hopefully when real cars are outlawed by the weirdo children, I'll be long gone.
The smashed headers was on engine masters.
Would love to see more of the truck now
?
I really enjoy watching your videos keep up the good work
Those electric Lightning’s are fakes! Thanks for the videos on this whole rebuild! I remember when those first hit the lots and I wanted one badly, guy we knew bought one off the lot new and straight to the shop it went for a $10k upgrade. It would run high 8’s on the track with no NOS
I don’t like ford. At all. In any way. But when I saw you with Devine guidance put big beautiful chrome wheels on this truck instead of the trendy garbage ass black wheels that everyone is using and also the fact you actually care about what the outside of the truck looks like instead of some garbage ass patina option i developed respect and yes I will say it, admiration for this channel and this build. Love goes out to you guys !!! 💯
You are a life saver dude I was so stuck when it came to that immobolizer key flashing on my mark 4 jettas cluster.. Especially since I'm the one that did the immobolizer delete from the ecu.
Why don’t you spray in a bed liner.
excellent video and good job on the Lightning.
You also want to change out the bolts for the idler pully's on the engine front cover. The bolts are prone to breaking when removing. They're factor gold anodized metric crap. Get stronger grade bolts, and get better bearings you can press in from a bearing company that sells to the public. Getting precision bearings on the pully's can take the beating. Or you'll be replacing them after 10k miles. Sooner if you race it often
Should have put new spicer solid body u-joints on the drive shaft before installing
