  1. Hey my friend you really should carry around in the back of your seat or in the back of the truck a big piece of Cardboard to lay on the ground easy to slide around on the ground and keeps you from getting all scraped up from the asphalt plus you can easily discard once dirty. 🔥🥵 😎

  2. One thing u didnt check or video is to check both the pans on each tire cause if a caliper is sticking ull have one pad wear more than the other one also remember all of the world watch u so in snowy areas look for bad rust and stuff to

  3. The best thing you showed there was where to jack a car up. Many people ruin cars by jacking them up any ole place. Jack leg mechanics do also! A pet peeve of mine! I won’t buy a car that was ever jacked up improperly! I also won’t buy cars that were hitting curbs or driving up onto them with the front bumper.

  4. One other thing I would check with the scanner is to see if all of the monitors have been run. If the dealer or person selling the car has cleared any codes or unhooked the battery, the CEL might not come on for something until all of the monitors have been run and completed. Obviously, a hard fault would come back immediately but stuff like O2 sensor monitors, or catalyst monitors may not show a fault until later on after the monitors are completed. Not usually a problem on a vehicle that new but something to definitely check on an older higher mileage vehicle.

  5. Good video, glad to see one for those that may not know what to look for.
One thing I'd add on checking the brakes. Look closely at the back sides of the rotors. I've seen more than a few rotors that look "ok" from the visable side, but trashed on the inside.
Even seen half the pads changed, again… the side easily seen by anyone.
MVP tool I've used, especially for older cars, a small USB snake camera. Lets you check out a lot without removing anything.
Second most common I've seen, windshields replaced and done half-assed. Spend a couple bucks and go to a quarter wash. Especially good for sunroofs.

  6. Loved the video. Could you make a video or share some insights about torque wrenches? I'm a beginner recreational mechanic, and I've been reading up on torque wrenches. From what I've gathered, it's recommended to have multiple torque wrenches for different tasks—one for lower torque applications and another for higher torque jobs. It seems that a wrench with a wide range, like 20-150 Nm, may not be accurate at the lower end of the scale, hence the need for multiple wrenches. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this and keep up the great videos!!

  7. Great video .Gooloo are another great company .I can't enter as I live in Australia .One other item I would check in an inspection even with low miles , is the battery ,with a young family or anyone .Clip on the battery tester and do a read out ,as you know they can let you down at any time and the can be quite expensive and something that you can't wait and replace it later. All the best ..
