A cheap filter back at the tank in an easy to get at location and a good filter between pump an carb …

You would not believe the garage that can come out of gas pumps !!!
Just like an oil filter those pump filters when they plug , bypass filter .
I had a gravity can (old school cartridge container) with fine screen out . Then a cheap filter…
You would not believe the garbage !!!

Then the good large filter between pump an carb …
It prevented heat vapor lock and cooled fuel slightly … Lived in desert at time …
I've seen bugs of every flavor , dirt of many colors and even paper in catch can !!!!
