If you watched the last V12 video then you saw a very happy Alex at the end. Right after filming the outro to that video, I started the V12 up for the second time and something really bad happened. This is about as real world as it gets.

  1. I admire your nerves to deal with this!
I used to build cars myself not only engines, I would spot weld and fix body parts as well.
I built CLK 63 Black under 25k and sold it for 85K in 2 months.

  2. How much did the diagnostic computer cost you? Guessing it's an ebay buy that WILL connect to the mercedes dealer network? Or is it a stand alone? Also, any chance one of your buddies has the ABC accumulator/pulsation damper that bolts to the engine (aluminum can) with a line coming out? Mine is leaking like a sieve (cracked). I could shoot you a photo of it, but you can't post pics on replies here. THANKS! Btw my CL600 has 130k miles, has a WEIRD 7 rib serpentine belt (not 6 rib like the dealer says it has) and cost me a whopping 850 bucks at an auction in Phoenix. Fired it up and set a new record from PHX to OKC, nine hours flat. WIth 3 15 minute fuel stops (got a whopping 7.5 MPG) She's currently down for the abc leak and a supposedly bad cam angle sensor (said Bank 0, replaced it (the one UNDER the intake manifold) and it's still running on 6 in limp mode. Wanted to replace the crank sensor too but it's buried under a water pipe that runs right over the top of it. I DID get my abc working before the leak started though (it was sacked on all 4 corners and my LF and RR shocks bleed down but the other 2 stay up. I just want to get it to RUN! Also my radio failed and now the car kills the battery within 8 hours. Always something with this car, but it's pretty fun (Not the TT being a 2002)

  3. Man, I'm glad it started up fine because Alex put so much time and effort into this build, and more than anything, you can see how stressed he was in this video. Thank God it seems well, so far.👍👍👍💞
