  1. I'm sure cobbled car wiring shares similar properties to wire coat hangers. In that they can multiply when hidden away from the human eye.

    The 'haircut' on the Snowbird wiring reminded me of a time we had to "fix" the wiring on a '76 Ford Landau after the owner caught his foot in it and ripped a heap of stuff out. Had after market Air Con and Stereo. This thing must've had generations of wiring bodges because after we got the A/A and tunes going we had this huge bundle of wires left over!
    Owner wasn't known for his cool and understanding temperament so we figured it best if we just hid the bundle in our tool bag and declared "Fixed!"

    Note: this wasn't a paid job. We were a couple of privates caught doing the wrong thing and he was an MP sergeant who required a "favour" to look the other way 🤣
