  1. I have a 2004 Clk 500 that rides terrible. When I turn right heading up a Driveway theirs a knock underneath no machanic been able to pinpoint. I wanna take everything apart and restore it.

  2. Does method number 1 could apply on my w126 upper control arm bushings? According to my mechanic, i had no choice but to change the entire arm.

  3. replacing the bushing on the particular control arm you showed makes no sense because by the time the bushing goes bad the ball joint is loose also. And unfortunately, it is not replaceable. On the lower rear control arm for the w211 however, the OEM cost is well over 200$ and the ball joint and the bushings are replaceable so it is well worth the money replacing these parts individually!

  4. ESP malfunction indication. I changed the lower/back suspension arm and started to get ESP errors. This was from (1) torgueing the bolt when the assembly was just assembled (i.e. just hanging) and then (2) after following an auto-doc video that showed them raising the assembly with a bottle jack and then torqueing. I saw another video where the ride height was made to be equal left and right but can no longer find it – however going to try and equalize the two sides and see how that goes. Also, I agree with a comment of a few weeks ago – you can get 4 new complete arms for about the same cost as the tool so ….

  5. The bolt from my upper control arms is hitting the top of tire now for no reason other than setting for a year in the garage. How do I correct this or fix this?
