I just went outside and washed my 540 in the middle of the rain and a Tornado Warning here in Central FL..
People that think that you cannot wash an engine compartment properly don’t drive in the rain either 🤔because doing that would get water and moisture there as well!

Simple Green works awesome on the underside of the hood.
There are better ways to clean the engine bay properly.
The series is way cool. One thing though, replace the door seals… Since it might be a car that spends its life on the street you need those seals to be tight and without cracks.

cabin filters need 12 months servicing replace = most never even know about them ! change all filters and service – brakes ! a clean detailed engine is a big plus = and easy to work on without all that spilt oil ! = i was a detailer for a long time – under bonnet cleaning is my favorite !
