Many of us Do-it-yer’selfers” have projects like this where we are unsure of the process so, watch guys like you do it first to prepare ourselves for the proper steps, see what problems or challenges we may encounter, or even a parts list before starting. 4. I could definitely see myself attempting a transmission rebuild but the problem is space, time, and most importantly, knowledge of procedures and avalabilitiy of parts. It's much easier to get those on a common trans. Like rebuild kits and such are not even available.

16. I have a 238Getrag manual 6spd in a 2008 Ram 1500.

    It grinds when I try to put it in reverse.

    All my gears ⚙️ are good

    I only have a problem with reverse gear ⚙️.

    Do I need to get it rebuilt to fix reverse?
