2. Some dealerships have flush machines that bolt up to the side of the trans where that thermal valve is that might be why it was loose

6. Just a question for Alex or anyone in the comments. I have a 2012 lincoln mkz with 150,000 miles. Well maintained and runs great. Very fast for a 3.5. Not fast but fast for what it is. Trans shifts smooth but has started to whine a little in 1st and 2nd. I know there is not a quick fix, but is there anything I can do to extend the trans life without pulling trans and rebuilding it?

20. That thermal bypass valve you installed goes on a 6L80 RPO MYC as the bulletin showed. The MQE 8 speed does not have the issue with the TBV that the 6 speeds have.

    Hopefully you didn’t install the incorrect fluid in the 8 speed that the bulletin shows is for the 6 speeds. 8 speed fluid as of today the correct GM part number is 19417577.

26. i am a number 3 cotterpin installer, insert cotterpin so that when you bend the long side it wraps over the top of the bolt and the short side bends down to conform to the nut. trim excess
