I neglected my wife’s 2005 Cadillac Escalade for so long she just wanted a new truck. The problem is new trucks are expensive so I spent 1 day fixing everything on her old truck to avoid spending a lot of money or taking on a car loan. If you own any GM truck this video will show you tips and tricks to make specific repairs cost you next to nothing. The Suburbans, Tahoes, Silverado, Sierra, Yukon, and Escalade all apply and this video includes fixing an airbag light, repairing a leaking exhaust manifold gasket leak, replacing the seat leather, replacing the brakes, replacing the shocks, replacing the pitman arm, installing new wheels and tires and resetting the tire pressure light and more!

  1. That was a great year for the Cadillac escalade! Up until 2009 before the AFM junk became a problematic issue. I have owned 2 of these escalades, a 2008 (non AFM) and a 2021. The 2021 lost its valvtrain at 28,000 miles. I love this channel!!

  2. You don't need to remove the gearbox to remove the pitman arm just loosen the bolts it gives you enough room to put the puller on if you still have problems just take the bottom bolt out 👍👍👍 I've been doing frontend suspension for 30years

  3. I have a 2013 Escalade ESV Platinum – what is the unused bracket on the firewall – drivers side between motor cover and brake fluid reservoir?

And the link to the GM Shop Service Manuals is broken. Can you update where you get service manuals?

  4. Have you ran into the Stabilitrak Off issue from these vehicles? I've read a ton of different things that set it off, it's more annoying that anything as you can shut the truck off and it comes out of limp mode with the check engine light remaining. Do you have any ideas on how to fix?

  5. Hi Alex, i know this is an old video (which i watched a few time) i just picked up an 06 platinum and was wondering how are those shocks holding up? My full air suspension is completely blown and was thinking about deleting the z55. Thanks

  6. Wow three-year-old video. I just picked up a Escalade EXT and it had that knock in the steering wheel when you slightly turn it. And they told me they would fix it. But after I got the car back the steering wheel was no longer centered and it drifted to the right. And now it has a system stability light on 🤦🏾‍♂️. Nice to know it was the pitman arm. They also replaced the tires but they didn't replace the sensors. So I have that tire pressure sensor light annoying me 🤦🏾‍♂️. And I also just bought a set of those same seat covers. They also replaced three of my brake calipers. It makes no sense to only do three. This video has just shown me three of the problems that I have. Good stuff. My only issue was that I'm not used to a vehicle that has such a soft steering. I'm used to tight steering that's normally in sports cars. So I'm thinking too soft steering is not normal. I also live in the Chicagoland area. I'm starting to get that rust under the wheel well because of the salty roads.

  7. Great video, I also have a second generation Cadillac Escalade 02. However the air condition is giving me some trouble, I replaced the compressor condenser and dryer but its not cold. It seems as if the fan is running to slow and the temperature gauge rises from 1/4 to 1/2. Do you have any suggestions?😊

  8. Man, I wish you made a video on replacing the door. I need to do that on my '05 Escalade.
The "$20" repair manual for the 2005 Cadillac Escalade is $31.99 now! C'mon, man! Give us that coupon code!

  9. One of the most important thing on the 2000-2006 is to upgrade the front brakes: The brakes from a 2011 fit, and are much larger. Get the brakes and calipers from that year, they bolt right on. Braking is day & night, especially if you go for EBC yellow stuff. REar the brakes of this year are better than the newer ones, so no need to change: EBC Brakes GD7214 3GD Series rear and EBC Brakes GD7372 3GD front. Need 20" rims, but that looks better anyhow….

  10. Can you please make a video about troubleshooting when both headlights go out on a 2012 hybrid escalate, also if you a trick for a faster way to replace those headlights? Thanks
