The directions should be on trail app you were talking about in one of your other videos
Can You tell me the exact model of the Billstein shocks you used on the car?
Any changes to make them fit or did you just swap them with the original?
Mr Alex you should do something with the exhaust and put a snorkel on. Cheers! Btw I wana rock – twisted sister ❤
I've been watching older videos and I realized I don't care what car it is,I just really enjoy Alex working on cars and explaining what he's doing. One of the best quality channels on YouTube.
Alex and Nate from dirt lifestyle should do a custom build on the ML and make it even more off-road capable
Best video ever!
From my brief armchair research, due to an interest in owning one of these things, it appears that the borgwarner 4409 unit has been problematic since day one. Forums from 2001 discuss it needing to be replaced or rebuilt every 40,000 miles. You get any closer to finding a good replacement unit? In addition, has it been fine since the rebuild? I feel like figuring out a strong transfer case is essential to having this be a reliable trail rig.
It's about time you brought back this ML rig. I was really looking forward to seeing other videos with it. These vehicles have open difs, but the 4Matic system makes up for lockers.
Love the video
You could do a michigan trip , holly oaks off road , silver lake sand dunes, and Drummond island . All great off road parks .
I love watching you solve problems. You are a great mechanic. But I am a but surprised that you don't use more anti-seize compound on things under the car and on exhaust parts. I slather it on almost everything that is down low and likely to get nasty-rusty-stuck.
There’s a reason why they called W163 the king of suburban
OMFG I never knew that bushing could move, I had to change my W210 Alternator which I believe uses the exact same alternator, I ended up using a block of wood and hammering the new one in past the bushing lol
Instead of using "these guys" on bolts and nuts you can say "deese nuts" it would be hilarious 😂
Try Turkey Bay OHV. Land Between the Lakes. Go to Patti's 1880's Settlement for dinner in Grand Rivers, KY. Lots of forest service roads also on LBL with views of both Lake Barkley and Kentucky Lake.
$259 for a reman Bosch (+ core) on Rockauto. So you don't HAVE to spend $500…..
You should contact TRE USA offroad, if anyone will make a locker for it, they will
I don’t know if your aware but your saying “I’m not going to lie” a lot well enough for us to notice not giving u a hard time about it I just thought I’d let you know 😊
Dress that thing up like the Mercedes from Jurassic Park lost world
Alex, what offroad park is this? I'm in Dayton, OH and a few hour trip to the other side on Indiana isn't a bad drive. The Toyota group I'm part of is always looking for new offroad parks to check out.
Using hot rolled steel, will have mill scale on all surfaces so any coating will fail eventually.
Can u do more mercedes or just German?
You have got to make a montage of all the bloopers into one long video 😂 They're always so funny
Harbor freight had a off-road floor jack with big wheels on it
W163 Power!! 💪💪💪
No cotter pin on a ball joint ? That's wrong
