How Tool Boxes are Made

How Tool Boxes are Made

What’s the best tool box you can buy for the money? What is a good beginner tool box?
Learn how Craftsman Tool Boxes are Made from start to finish in the USA! In this video we get a shipment of steel coils then cut the steel so it can be pressed into the shapes for a drawer and for the tool box itself. Then the metal is welded together to create the main structure of the box and each individual drawers. Finally the box and drawers goes to paint which uses an electrophoresis coating which is better than powder coating. And then on the final assembly line, the drawers are mounted into the box and it’s all packaged and shipped out to a store near you.

  1. Personal taste here, I would have the original toolbox in a more open area, such as next to the garage door and have the other toolboxes and cabinets shifted over, putting the original toolbox in a place of honor so to speak given that it's what started you on your journey to being a great automotive youtuber.

  2. This is really cool!! I have my grand father’s craftsman’s toolbox that’s over 30 years old and the only thing that has broke on it is the lock for the drawers. Almost all the original paint is still in it. I also have some of his craftsman wrenches that are over 50 years old.
