Spark Plug Wire Replacement on a Ford Ranger. This video shows how to replace the spark plug wires on a V6 Mazda B3000 (Ford Ranger). It is a straight forward process and will take about 2 hours if you take your time. These new wires increased my fuel economy from 16mpg to 17.5mpg and the idle is a lot smoother now.

You are GOOD! Was considering doing the job myself, haven't changed plugs in decades and even then it was on a car that I had for many years. This Ford Ranger that I have now is a different beast altogether. Wish you were in my neighborhood! 😂 Thanks for the info my friend..
Thank you you are very specific
Lets talk ab how impressive those diy wire harnesses are
No die electric grease?
I just changed my spark plug wires on my 4 runner and its not idling right and engine shut off
Well done
Hi Crisfix, you may have already did a video like the one I'm requestingðŸ‘ÂÂ
Can you do a video describing all of the electrical on the engine, like the wire harnesses distributor, idol control, and all the other connectors on your truck, please please pleas, there are some things I don't have a clue what they do, ðŸ¤â€ÂðŸ¤â€Â🤆help the clueless one 👠I'm sure I'm not the only one
Why aren't they able to set the plugs where the shortest wire connect the spark plug that's closest to the distributor then medium would be connect the next spark plug with the closest open spot on the distributor and the longest would go between the furthest plug from the next available spot on the distributor for each respective side. Basically work from closest to furthest apart and then I won't mess up by not paying attention while trying to swap out my own spark plug wires and thinking that I'll remember where each one goes and then finding out that the car won't start because didn't put the wires in the correct spot. 1-3-2-5-6-4 as a firing order is fucking way too complicated whereas closest to next closest and then finally the two furthest for each side of the distributor is so much easier to remember.
Just fixed my ignition wires, sending love your way my good man. Thanks for what you do 💯ðŸ‘ÂÂðŸÂ¾
My truck don’t work with this set up I have a 94ranger 4.0
This was absolutely the BEST video on spark plug change out. I changed the plugs, wires and ignition pack. I had the wires crossed but this video straightened out pronto.
I've got the Duratec sideways V-6 and Bank 1 is impossible to get to without removing the intake manifold. A real PITA!! Would love to see you do a video on that engine.
This looks complicated.
I did follow your instructions now it won't start up
Thanks
I'm watching this video in this moment because I discovered that one ignition wire from my truck was fisured, and was touching a part of the engine making short circuit, I put some insulating tape and now is working fine, but I preffer change the wire to be sure.
Been trying to figure out the correct firing order because I have a dead cylinder and new wires, coil pack, and plugs. Gonna try yours if it's not the same. Thanks for the vid.
Does anyone know if I can use any spark plug wires for it. Because they couldn't find a specific for a 2005 Dodge Ram v6
I cant tell you how much I appreciate your videos. And the fact that I have a b3000 too, makes this even better!
Great video, man! Very helpful. I subscribed after watching this. I was surprised that I hadn't already subscribed. Every video I've seen of yours has been great! Thank you for your time and help.
Great video well explaned. On our v6s in england that look similar they fitted heat shields on the spark plug end of the leads.
I have a 2006 Mazda b3000 3.0 dual sport and I had spark plugs and wiring replaced with motorcraft parts . Is the wiring order the same in all years of Mazda b3000’s or did it change after a certain year? Does anyone have firing order? Right now it shakes when idling. feels like it wants to turn off . I did have serpentine belt kit changed and power steering pump too . Idk if that would cause it or if it’s the firing order
I've changed plugs before but never the wires, this video helped out a lot! Thank you and greetings from Wyoming
You help me out a lot. Thanks So much.
Why does spark plug wire has to be replaced? I just measure the ohm reading across the leads, if they are within spec I just keep using it.
He makes it very easy for someone with zero knowledge to work on their own car.
What happen if you put your wires on wrong
