Awesome job ðŸ‘ÂÂ
What about pre-loading the control arm bushings by lowering the wheels onto the ground before tightening bolts? Other Youtubers say you must do this or bushings will wear out prematurely.
It's not that easy. I did this on a 96 explorer. It was a pain. I had to put the bolts in backwards. I hope it ok.
You are GREATLY APPRECIATED Mr. FixIt. Please keep up the great work and service you provide to the communities.
Chris, nice video. I just added these adjust bolts to my '03 Marauder. Interestingly, my camber adjust bolts went through the lower control arm (one bolt on pass side, one bolt on drivers side). The stock part did have rotation ability, however, not enough once I add ridetech coil overs – which I am doing today! Thanks again.
Can you do a 1999 Chevy express 3500 with the engine 5.7
great job done bro
Chris, thank you for all the greet vidios, they are very helpfule.
I have a oil leak on my truck 2002 GMC yukon and im struggling to find out where is the leak from if yoi have any advice about how to find where exactly the oil leak please let me know..thank you
Video suffers from a serious lack of medium strength thread locker.
Is it the same for a two piece control arm? I’ve got an 02 Ford Sport Trac
Hey bro i have lick of a front motor of a ford ranger 2011 it looks like a bolt is missing but i am not sure can you help me
You’re the man!
Hey Chris I was just wondering how did you learn to be a mechanic? Your one of the very best so I was just wondering
@1:19 and @4:19 — smoothest breaks evah! lol
How badly did the outside of your tire wear with that +0.8 degree camber. I have a positive camber that has really worn the outer edge of one of my back tires. I'm trying to gauge about how far it is off (I know it won't be too precise).
Do you know a good website to get rear suspension torque specs for a 2012 dodge journey
Once again, You've saved my life and my pocket.
Hello Chris and thank you for this video, however I just replaced the two front suspension arms on my 2001 Ford f 150 Pick up, when I removed the bolts from the right and left arms there were not these two plates, Do you think I can find this installation for my pick up.
Thank you very much to you.
Cheap. Botl grade
What wrong why you change?
What about the other tire? I have a ford sport trac and it’s a two piece control arm on the other
Will shops refuse to align my truck if I install the bolts first?
thanks chris. i bought my own from napa for 40 bucks a kit (you need two kits / one for each side). the alignment shop was going to charge 125 for the kits… another 130 to install… so basically I saved 175 dollars. thanks man!
I know this is an older video but can anyone tell me why would you need to go to the cam bolts when it didn't come with them from the factory? Im asking because I have my mazda b3000 apart now replacing the upper control arms, lower ball joints, tie rod ends, is it because of new parts are not exactly the same as old one's? I was going to just use the old bolts with square washer but now im worried if I do that the alignment shop may tell me I need to replace the bolts, which I'll probably do now, but I am just curious of the reasons,. Thanks for any advice anyone can give me. I appreciate it.
Like everyone else here, I just want to thank you for keeping this short and simple. But does anyone know why they'd put a non-adjustable bolt in in the first place? As an aircraft mechanic, I can vouch that aeronautical engineers are just as bad. Why are engineers paid so well?!
you could grind down old bolts into a circle , costs 0 $$
Chris, after I do this on a 2016 Ford Fusion, how much should my existing Camber/Alignment change? My front left Camber is -2.7* and if I install it, I will not be able to get back to the alignment shop for some time and concerned about additional wear on left front tire. THX again
Hi there,I know is an old video but I guess someone will look on , Should I raise the truck under the lower control arms or the beam frame like Chris did, I’m afraid to mess up the upper control arm, thanks
Can I do this on my 07 dodge durango I've aligned it theres nothing wrong with my suspension but the outside of my offroad tires are wearing bad and fast just the outside of the tire also my tires are leaning from the bottom inwards
Why do all vehicles not come with these to begin with?
