  1. You are right. But when you installed the brake pad on Honda’s you have to lined up the caliper piston with the brake pad or this will always happen. In the back of the inside brake pad there is a pin and you have to rotate the piston to match that opening. You are good to go!

  2. emery cloth works fine, you do not need to replace the pin unless it is beyond refurbishment, oddly enough I had the same exact wear and nothing was wrong with the piston or guid pins, I 'am at a loss

  3. People rarely do the sliders. I always whip them out, degrease, rotary wire brush, then silicone grease.

The kits are like twenty bucks anyway.

  4. Hi Chris . Another good video as always.
I thought you would have mentioned cleaning out the channel or tube where they pins go into. Especially the upper one as that mud would be sitting inside the tube compromising the fresh grease.

  5. I do my own brakes and have since 1989. I will smoke any brake mechanic out there all day everyday.
Most brake places do shit work. Slap it together get the money and go. Not here i take my time and its right including bleeding the brakes everytime. Midas and the others can hit there knees.

  6. Good video. I would put some grease inside the rubber boot b4 putting guide pins back in. If you only put it on the pin the rubber boot removes most of the grease from the pin like a squeegee

  7. ☝️, thank you my problem is being solved 🙏🏻

  8. I recommend wearing ear pro if you have to bang a really stuck pin out. Last fall I had to do this on an outback and the pinging of a hammer on a lug wrench for 10 mins made my ears ring for the day.

  9. Hi great vid, have you done a vid on replacing break fluid on a car with an electric break booster, like on the landcruiser 200 and 100 series cheers Hans

  10. Top man, I like your videos and the way you explain everything in detail, very professional Chris 😊

  11. Good no as usual Chris. But you need to also clean inside housing of guide pin with break cleaner and fabric cloth.

  12. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
