  1. I am sorry but I just saw 2 videos back to back of High mileage bmws and basically all the parts have been changed. I am sorry but bmw is a luxury for me not a necessity I have a 1997 volvo and I have fix it maybe 2 times in 20 years. And I have done it myself. Both fixes under 500 bucks lol I was thinking in getting rid of for an older mercedes buy why! The old volvo keeps going lol I saw a 7 series bmw video and it got all changed all it! Even interior parts were shot. I have 2 kids and I drive a lot my volvo is solid! And I bought a beat up toyota sequoia and I was telling to myself I will fix it eventually I did a fluid change and I kept driving it lol kinda crusty but mechanical is perfect. I went ahead and bought my wife a 2002 w210 wagon e320 and changed motor mounts and tranny mounts I fix it with 1k in parts so I kinda learning why German cars cost so much to fox the parts are far over engineer and overpriced my brothers Ford motor mounts are so simple compering to the hydraulic mercedes mounts. Very smooth car though the e320 wagon is crazy relaxing to drive.

  2. Just like expected, but better, whats "parts of the bmw" are still original 😂 okay this one was 400k miles but still bmw's and finding new parts.. you should start saving for parts once you buy a BMW, or if you buy used, already start looking and buying 😂 and to top it off, they started using Mercedes parts on it 😂😂😂 that is just incredibly funny, ironic and hilarilious 😂

  3. A fix for the aluminium cylinder blocks we sometimes do here in Australia is do what is known as "step lining". This involves the process of boring the cylinders beyond machining limits, then machining a "step" 5mm deep in the cylinders, and inserting the liners. These are sealed to the cylinder block using high temperature sealant to prevent coolant leaking into the sump.

  4. I love your videos man ! You and O.J. really are making me more comfortable working on my own 2005 325i ( totally stock and unmodified with 233,000 on the clock and purring like my cat ! Never even driven a Beamer till a tree fell on my prior Yaris iA and crushed it, and the Beamer was the only car on my nearby car lot that I could afford the minimum 20% down. Despite the circumstances I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I never dreamed I'd own an Ultimate Drivers Machine – but here I am, and my neighbor is building a four bay repair shop next door complete with a lift and every kind of power and air tool you can imagine. I'm completely stoked and your videos are making this 66 yr old geezer feel like a teenager with a new toy ! Thanks you guys! I and so many others appreciate your professionalism and dedication to promote helping DIY'ers realize their dreams ! Keep up the excellent work . 👍😎

  5. In terms of your home security, I would take down the sign you put out in front of your house. It's a major security issue because it lets more intelligence robbers know the exact frequency your security system runs on (because you let them know what system you are running) which allows them to remotely disable the whole system. Just a tip and great video!

  6. Be aware that wireless home security systems are easily interfered with. I work for the Canadian equivalent to FCC and was involved in a case where two houses were constantly getting false alarms and events where the alarm couldn't be set due to interference to the wireless system. Other cases involving wireless security cameras which were causing false alarms. If you're really concerned about security don't go wireless. It's far too fragile.

  7. The Solid metal bushing (@8:32) that you have in the front Diff mount is nicknamed a "Unicorn Egg" and is a solid front diff mount bushing made by Einhorn Industries. You should consider google-ing them or finding them on facebook and look at the stuff they make for the e39 M5, especially their one of a kind exhaust manifolds!

  8. I notice that the old oqner said h3d never use a chinese oart i qonder does he know that about 60 % of the plastics and a few other factory items are made in china and then made to speck and qced and then s3nt to the bmw factory to be out in the car chinese make 87 % of the worlds car parts the rest are split betweenbsouth korea and india but korea is growing like hit fakes

  9. I had a horrible experience with BMW of Melbourne, they didn't do their inspection on my car, and I drove around for six months with a seized brake that ended up disintegrating my brake line. They also wanted 2200 for an oil pan, and 600 for an oil filter housing gasket. We spent 1950.95 to fix BMW's mistake – they also put two quarts in my car instead of the 6 liters.
